« The address we copied from VRBO brought us to the wrong place and the listing didnt seem to list the name of the condominiums we were staying at. No 1 was at the counter when we arrived for about 5 minutes so we were a bit unsure again if we were at the right place. « We love staying at the Kona Islander. It’s a great property in a great location, and we enjoyed our stay. The room is slightly on the spartan side, but we don’t need tons of bells and whistles because who goes to Hawaii to spend all day inside? »

« Great little house next to the owner's house. Not a lot of space but cozy. Owner is easy to reach and answers questions quickly. Warm welcome. However the location is not that convenient as it is a good 25 min from Hilo, and the roosters and dogs of the neighborhood are very noisy at night... »

« It was a decent stay. Would stay again. The bathroom shower needed some attention . Mold and mildewy on the plastic shower curtain liner. Other than that, it was older and a bit dated, but it was comfortable and clean for the most part. »
