"We stayed in the cottage and it was exceedingly charming and comfortable. Staff were truly kind and gracious, and we had two great meals at the main restaurant. The nature trail on the property was a nice bonus. Great location near the national park and close to other restaurants, too. Staying at the Kilauea Lodge was the highlight of our trip."

"Dragonfly Ranch is surrounded by green and the song of frogs and birds. I stayed in a room with a delightful view of trees then ocean. Dragonfly is only about a 6 minute drive from a great beach for snorkeling and swimming - Two Step, right next to the Pu'uhonua o Honoaunau (Place of Refuge), which is well worth a visit. Staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting again in the future."

"The three of us were very comfortable in suite 1 with the little twin window bed. The sound of the ocean drowned out the songs of the coqui frogs. It was a great location to see the sights on the Hilo side. The breakfast was amazing: fresh fruit, French toast or coconut pancakes, eggs to order, and juice. They have a little cabinet with first aid items and extra sunscreen.The hosts were caring and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this place!!!"

"If only we could have stayed longer! We had booking the glamping unit, but because of water issues Theresa switched us to the Bungalow, which was so cosy. She agreed alternative breakfast arrangements as we had to leave early on checkout. We only had time to meet the chickens and ducks at the doorstep, but we saw the donkey and goats sheltering from the rain! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're making a trip to Volcano NP. "

"The view was great. The room was large. I was a little disappointed that the owner did not let me know that breakfast was not included with the lower level room. She said it was because the lower room had a kitchen, but I was not made aware of this until after I arrived. "

"I celebrated my husband birthday here and the host Carol and his wife worked with me to surprise him with a delicious birthday cake. They bought the cake and surprised us. The stay was amazing, if your not planning to stay in all day as we were pretty much out enjoying our activities and slept most of the 2 nites. "A fantastic place to stay! We found this place on the day that Kona airport closed due to a runway crack. Diana is a great host. We arrived there almost midnight, Diana waited for us and helped us get settled in. Next morning, we woke up to an amazing sea view. Diana showed us around and gave us a very thorough guide to nearby scenic spots. It is very close to the best snorkeling spot on the Big Island. The property has a sauna and swimming pool, which is great. It is also easy to find nice...

"This resort was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again if I had the opportunity. The only reason that I did not give it a perfect review was due to the really weird design of the window in the bedroom. It was a corner window that faced into the outdoor entrance to the condo. We always had to keep the blackout curtains tightly shut. Now, the patio on the other side facing the pool and the ocean made up for it. This is where we spent our time when we were in the condo. "Everything was great about the property. It's bigger than we expected. Big kitchen and living room. Great view on the patio/deck. The fees do add up to be a lot , but we knew about them prior to booking and just included them in the cost per night when budgeting. It's a little far away from kailua, but with the full kitchen next time we will do a few meals at the resort "
