This hotel offers a vast majority of amenities. It’s absolutely gorgeous and fun for the entire family. The grounds are lovely, there are pools for adults and children, many places to enjoy your stay within the hotel grounds. Everyone is friendly. The food here is expensive however there is a market place close by where you can buy all your local favorites. There are also restaurants within Waikoloa Village. I would definitely stay here again.

The overall size of the property is very nice, the landscaping, the lagoon, the dolphin encounter, the large swimming pool, We were in the Palace Tower, which offer large rooms but small bath rooms. However, the overall status of the property is getting old and has got already some renovations but need more. Especially the lobby is quit disappointing and also there is no real big bar, no real night life/entertainment offered (beside the Luau if you are able to get tickets)\, but that is only for one evening. Beside that I was expecting that all fees and taxes were already included in my booking but it was not, still daily occupancy taxes and other fees are added to your bill beside the resort fee each day. Overall prices of the restaurants are in general high to very high. Pizza at the Italian restaurant is $60. Note all prices in Hawaii especially in tourist resort surroundings are high. During my stay no rental cars were available and went to $600 a day(!). So definitely demand & supply. Hawaii is great, lots to do, but you can also do this in other areas of the world. Overall good hotel, nice amenities, nice grounds, large rooms but some elements are disappointing, like size bathroom, overall entertainment, status of Hotel complex and you have to be aware that everything is pricy.

We stayed here for 6 nights for our Baby Moon. It was our first time staying at a "mega resort" type property. The photos online really sold me, and we caught a decent rate of $311/night for our trip. I would say this was a great value for the amenities offered. There was an additional $45/day resort fee, and no free overnight parking options on the property, I think it was around $40/night to self park. Rooms are in 3 separate towers to stay in. An a/c tram will shuttle you across the property. You can also walk along a covered walkway filled with art between the buildings, but I recommend crossing the tram tracks and walking the coastal property grounds to get to your destinations. Improvements or things to note: - Palace tower atrium is home to many loud birds most vocal 3am-6am. If you are staying in palace tower request ear pugs at check in. I think they should be in the rooms already, our first night we barely got any sleep - but slept fine after we got ear plugs the next day. - Really read the 2 page, double sided resort info print out they give you as not everything is covered upon checkin. We didn't know there was ice, microwaves, or water filling station on property until days into our trip as we didn't read it right away. Tips: Take advantage of all the activities and classes you can to make use of the resort fee - which was very reasonable given all the offerings IMO. -Ukelele lessons -Bracelette making class
