The hotel is beautiful and clean. The beach is not very comfortable, and so the pools are over utilized; the pools are far from the beach, especially the “adult” pool which has a very limited view. The concierge was not helpful but the spa and shop staff were all excellent.

The property is beautiful! The only complaint is the lack of staff/service. For 5 star hotel pricing there is a lack of 5 star hotel service. The public bathrooms around the hotel were dirty. The pool service was fairly non-existent, for example, we were often getting our own towels and setting up our own lounges. Trying to order drinks / lunch very challenging. The staff that is there is lovely though!

The Mauna Lani resort was phenomenal! If you plan to have an ocean view room, try to request a high floor. Canoe House restaurant is a must! The staff were very accommodating and friendly.
