The room I had was not cleaned well. Blood on the mirror and hairs in the shower and the corners of the bathroom. I 💕 be on the Hilo side and come to Kona often. I will never stay here again. You get it gay you pay for.

Nice resort, food was great! Lack of help serving was not. Limited servers meant lots nger wait. Even though there were plenty of tables free. The servers who were working were outstanding!

Nice location, walkable around town for shopping and restaurants. Hotel bar and restaurant was wonderful with beautiful view. First room had an odor of pet urine , they do not allow pets but someone must have snuck one in the room. Called from dest and was promptly moved to another room. Which was fine. Hotel was under construction with some noise and our room definitely needed updating. I would stay there again after renovations are completed. We also booked a few excursions and the hotel Luau, which was hot and needed some shade but otherwise was fantastic.

The view here is amazing and hard to match. The staff was friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful. I loved the pool and restaurant/bar area. The location was so easily walkable with tons of shops and restaurants. The facilities are a bit dated and need an upgrade which would really put this property above others in the area. The decor is very 90s era and would benefit with a bit of updating. Otherwise, having the sound of the waves outside of your room and the amazing sunsets, staying at this property is definitely still recommended.

This resort is in desperate need of an update. We were told that we were given one of the upgraded rooms. Apparently only the furnishings have been upgraded. The room itself was musty and the fixtures, walls, and carpet were in bad repair. The first two nights, the sewer backed up into the bathtub. We had to be moved to another room. The room had a Motel 6 feel about it. The common areas of the resort are not kept clean. The staff was friendly however it was a very disappointing stay.

This is the second time staying here!! It’s a very nice resort, clean, and walking distance to downtown restaurants. The only thing is all the homeless people that are around the resort areas. Some was even hollering and cussing at us when walking back from dinner one night! If you have a rental car and you get out of town, it’s totally different and there isn’t any homeless people!

First my room key did not work they gave me two double beds for me and wife to sleep separately and the did not work I have to haul luggage to and from another building the phone at front desk not answered many times the second room they gave was king after arguing when we specifically asked before arrival and then on second night at 2:45 AM the fire alarm was ringing and happened 3 times could not sleep whole night plus no staff at lobby area very bad operation
