"Beware! The only property access is a STEEP 200 metre cowpath over tree roots would be dangerous in rain. There were no clear signs Had to drive on that to go back to Bacalar, 25 km. away. Or room was in a building across from the gated facilities on the beach. We were not allowed to use the beach chairs, kayaks etc. Nor was there any breakfast or coffee available for purchase. The person that let is us in did not explain the access to the beach facilities. Nor did she offer contact info...

When we called VRBO (very difficult from abroad) they said this was a false listing (my daughter had to do this in the states as it was too difficult form afar). The staff were excellent and wow, the chef's vegan meals were superb.
