Initially, the lady from guest services messed up by telling me that the restaurant, Sunset, was open for breakfast for my parents' surprise, but it ended up being closed. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated because my parents only had a few hours left in the hotel, and on top of that, the lady from guest services sold me a surprise package that included a balloon and a cake. At that moment, I felt scammed. However, they resolved this immediately. The waitstaff and the captain were so kind to give us a table in a reserved spot where my family could enjoy our meal privately. I will be eternally grateful to this wonderful staff."

"We stayed in room 1525 and unfortunately the only down side to our trip was not a working AC! Luckily my fiance and I were able to sleep still, a well working fan made sure of that. The staff were remarkable and the food was delightful! Some people have said the facilities were outdated, personally I think they just need some restoration but other than that it was a great time. Some workers I want to highlight are Diego (sushi expert), Lucia (chambermaid), Luz (bartender) and Ulises (concierge). There are also so much more but you will have to go an experience it for yourself!"

"We stayed in the 1 bedroom oceanfront suite and had the all inclusive package. We really liked the staff, they were always so nice and the service was excellent. The room we had was very nice, it was huge actually (1195sqft). We were actually quite impressed with the food, it was good quality, well prepared and nicely presented. There is currently only two restaurants (and a pizza place and bakery), reservations are required at one of them.) There service at Luciano's was some of the best we have experienced, thanks Francisco!. The pools were nice with daily cleaning and water chemistry maintenance (which was needed as we saw several people never leave the pool for hours at a time while drinking, not the resorts fault, come on. adults should know better!!) The pool bar and Mirador restaurant also had very good food, I was not expecting much from it but was pleasantly surprised. The staff there (Jorge, Christopher, Alan, Jose, Miguel and Fernando to name a few) were always friendly and providing excellent service. Raul (aka Pancho) was always there smiling and providing fun activities, towels etc. for the guests. There is some noise due to the expansion of the hotel but it wasn't terrible. There is also a ventilation fan on top of Luciano's (?) that starts up late afternoon and is somewhat annoying, at least it was on the 5th floor balcony when trying to relax or talk, ground level it was barely noticeable.
