I very much enjoyed my stay here with the pros of this hotel far outweighing any deficiencies. This is an older hotel with much charm, not a top-tier resort– so keep your expectations in check. I had an ocean-view room with a balcony, with an incredibly beautiful view of the bay, and two standard-size double beds. While there is no chest of drawers, there is a place for hanging clothes as you enter the room, a locking safe and open shelves for storing items, and a stand for placing your suitcase on. A/C worked fine, there was a “medium-sized” refrigerator, but no microwave, and the balcony was small but had two chairs and a table. The hotel provides a pitcher and glasses, and a large “water cooler” container of water in the hall from which you can fill your pitcher – so no need for you to buy bottled water. They also have ecologically-considerate trash containers on each floor for recycling paper and plastic, and organic items.
Bed mattresses are firm, but comfortable for me (I need a firm mattress to keep my back from aching). Sheets were clean. Bathroom was functional, but, as noted by another reviewer, I also noticed the smell of sewer gas occasionally – but no issue for me. The pool area is fenced from the beach area, but the gate to access the beach is open from about 9AM to 7PM.
