"The hotel has so much charm. Obviously it's not a 5 star place but I felt so comfortable there. Rooms were clean, beds comfy, helpful and friendly staff"

"Great stay while visiting Vancouver for the PNE, lots
Of good restaurants near by and the hotel breakfast was great. Bed was super comfy and good pressure in the shower "
"We book a room with a private bath and it was similar to your basic hotel room. It was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and guests were friendly and interactive. I like that the profits will go to support YWCA programs. Highly recommend the jam cafe for breakfast, but get there early. A line forms before opening. Parking is limited. "
"The property was comfortable and clean. The decor was nicely done, and the bathroom and kitchen were well appointed. I'm generally not a fan of sharing a bathroom, but it was only with one other room and never caused any issues.
The location is a nice, quiet neighborhood. The main negative is that it isn't located particularly close to anything, and taxi fare in Vancouver isn't particularly cheap. There are shops and restaurants about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away in several directions. There seemed to be plenty of availability for on street parking, so this is a great place to bring a car. "
Historical gem suite 2 queen beds with spa-Like bathroom & garden patio fountain
10/10 Excellent
"An incredibly positive stay! Clean and comfortable. All the stops and details were top notch. We appreciated the friendly kind communication of the host. It was a bit warm during our stay but we could open the French doors and cool the apartment down. "
"I was visiting family in the area and didn’t spend much time at the motel other than sleeping. The place was older but well maintained and clean. No AC, but the fan did the job and it wasn't too hot. "
Art Deco Broadway Bedroom (with Shared Common Area)
10/10 Excellent
"This is a lovely unit in a good neighborhood. I stayed 5 days. Very comfortable. The big negative was the exterior common area. It is a construction site. Dirty with scaffolding everywhere. The exterior of the building is being redone. That said, once I was in the unit, everything was fine. Small bedroom with really no place to put luggage other than floor. I asked for a luggage rack, but it was not provided. A small cost. It should be! Shared bathroom was no problem. Given the comparable high cost of hotels in Vancouver, this was a very good choice and I would stay here again. "
East Van Suite / King bed / Short walk to Sky Train & Commercial Dr
10/10 Excellent
"Great hosts and lovely park nearby (awesome Saturday morning market to discover). Nanaimo skytrain station is walkable in 10min. 15min walk to Commercial drive. Great launching pad to visit Vancouver. "
