Kyoto Hotel Guide

If you are choosing where to spend the night in or near Kyoto, there is a wide array of suitable options to choose from. You'll find no less than 348 hotel options within 0.1 kilometres (0.1 miles) of downtown Kyoto on our up-to-date booking database.

Some of the most centrally located hotels of downtown Kyoto are the Hiiragiya Ryokan and Gion-Kinpyo.

Nakagyo Ward is a very good hotel neighborhood to base yourself as it offers 62 hotels that can be booked through Expedia. Nakagyo Ward is 2 kilometres (1 mile) from downtown Kyoto. The Hiiragiya Ryokan and Matsui Bekkan Hanakanzashi are some of the Expedia-listed choices in this area. Kyoto Station, another Kyoto accommodation neighborhood, is 3 kilometres (2 miles) from the heart of Kyoto.. Kyoto Station has 62 hotels, including the Traditional Kyoto Inn serving Kyoto cuisine IZUYASU and Hotel Kanra Kyoto.

Another option is to find a hotel establishment in Gion, which is the neighborhood where you'll find the Ishibekoji Ryugin and Gion Hatanaka, or Sannenzaka Ninenzaka, which has the Kyoto Higashiyamasou and Guest House Yamato. Ishibe Alley is 2 kilometres (1 mile) from Kyoto's downtown, while Ukyo Ward is 14 kilometres (9 miles) from central Kyoto. The Ishibekoji Ryugin and Gion Maifukan can be found in Ishibe Alley, while the Ryotei Rangetsu and Ryokan Yamazaki are located in Ukyo Ward.

No trip to Kyoto would be complete if you don't make a trip to Nijo Castle. If you would like to book a room near this Kyoto landmark, look up the Ryokan Yoshida-sanso and Seikoro Ryokan, which are within a short stroll.

The Hyatt Regency Kyoto as well as the Hotel Granvia Kyoto are conveniently within easy walking distance of Fushimi Inari Shrine, while the Shoubuan Machiya Residence Inn and Tazuru are located near Kyoto Tower.
 Katsura Imperial Villa and Heian Shrine are two other often-visited Kyoto destinations. The Oyama Guest House Kyoto and the Kamikatsura House are both close to Katsura Imperial Villa, and the Zeniya-An and the Motonago, are near Heian Shrine.

The Suoan Machiya Residence Inn and Sakanoue are close to the Kyoto University, while the Fushizome-an Machiya Residence Inn and Konruri-An Machiya Residence Inn are near the Doshisha University. If you plan to book accommodation near the Kyoto International Manga Museum, select from hotel options which include the Gagakuan and Shikokuan Machiya Residence Inn. Hotels to book that are that are near the Costume Museum, are the Gion Ryokan Karaku and Gion Koyuan.

Kobe Airport is a logical airport for flying in and out of Kyoto. It is 65 kilometres (40 miles) away. If you would like to stay nearby, try the Kobe Portopia Hotel or Hotel Pearl City Kobe.
