This adorable 3 bedroom home is perfect for a family vacation or a gathering of friends. This home offers an open floor plan with large kitchen, master bedroom with a double whirlpool tub and a king bed on the upper level, and nice wooded views. The main level features two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. Relax in the whirlpool tub, enjoy the wonderful screened porch or curl up in front of the fireplace. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the home for you. This home is built on a slab, there is not a lower level family room. As our guests you will have complete access to the “Owners Club”. Great home

I have read all the previous reviews and agree this property is very clean and nice. The property was perfect for a weekend girls getaway. Excellent for the per day price for this property. Would definitely rent again

Great Galena getaway with friends and family

the house was a great fit for my family and a friends family to have adult and child spaces for a Galena weekend. while house is small the spaces were perfect and felt spacious with the layout and rooms were great

Galena Getaway!

My mother, sister, and I stayed for a late Christmas gift for my mother. This was the perfect spot to stay! It was close to town, so it was easy to have a relaxed morning before heading out for the day. The property was nice, clean, and comfortable.

Comfortable home

The home was as pictured and was comfortable for our group of 4 cousins. The kitchen is well stocked with all we needed to prepare meals. The beds are comfortable as well as the living room furniture.

Beautiful house and great distance into town. Nice neighborhood and scenery was nice. Only complaint was sink was filled with dirty, dirty water and garbage was full when we got there. Those are minor things though. Thank you!

A great place for a great getaway

This was a very nice place for a getaway with friends. There are multiple spaces for relaxing and socializing, a living room with a vaulted ceiling and fireplace, an comfortable 3-seasons porch, and a lovely back deck with a grill. The kitchen is big and well equipped.If cooking with friends is something you like, this place has you covered. There is easy access to Galena and the area's outdoor activities which was icing on the cake for us

The house was nice and includes a cozy deck. Plenty of space. Two of the beds had plastic and were not comfortable, and the TV had very few channels.

Nice getaway

A great place to get away for a few nights! The house was well outfitted and comfortable, with easy access to a number of paved and unpaved wooded trails, and just a short drive to the town of Galena and a gorgeous lookout over the Mississippi. Needs a little updating (blinds don't work well, bedding is dated) and the house is not as isolated as it appears in photos (neighboring houses are right next door) but it was still very quiet and overall a perfect place for our family getaway.

Inside of house was clean, we're people who like to start the day with coffee outside and the 3 season porch was not welocoming or clean, deck was also lacking TLC, this house has some really good potential just needs some love.

The pictures don’t do this house justice. It is so cozy. We just loved it! It has cable tv and WiFi My kids loved the pool and played basketball and ping pong. The only negative was that it is so dark outside at night. Lots of winding roads.

Short vacation

We had a great time at this location! The house was as advertised and had enough room for my family. It was really nice to have access to the pool during our stay. The only complaint is that the air conditioner was locked and not very cold and the temperature outside was in the mid80’s. Also the kitchen did not have a clean sponge to wash the dishes.

Woodsy Retreat

Outdoor appearance needs some work. Other than a few items that were taken care of by the very helpful manager, we enjoyed our stay. There should be better instructions for operating the cable TV. Problem items that still exist were noted for the manager.

Simple home

Simple home with everything we needed. The large jetted bath tub was a little bonus and nice to enjoy. The house is definitely outdated, but everything is in very good condition and clean. The stove/oven is one with the old school little turn knobs. Works as it should but just a little surprised by that. There were a few large gaps in the flooring that the chairs in the kitchen at the island kept getting stuck in. Many of the switches were to outlets with lamps instead of ceiling lights so just make note if a light isn’t turning on it’s probably for an outlet. Perfect location for us as we were in town for a wedding at Ashton Hill. Quiet neighbors.

Family Christmas Celebration

We enjoyed our stay very much. We have family that lives in Galena, and it was a good place for all of us to get together and celebrate the holiday. Having a gas fireplace was perfect, not having to keep adding firewood made it easy. The kitchen was well stocked, and the rooms were spacious. Having a combination lock on the door made it easy to come and go. We did enjoy shopping in Galena and enjoying various treats.I need to especially thank the management company that manages reservations. Jolene is the person I worked with to make and secure our stay. I left my iPad at the house when I got home, I called to see if someone could please check before the next guests arrive. Jolene answered right away and personally went to the house and found my iPad and the very next day packaged it carefully and mailed it back to me. I received it within three days, and it was perfect. I offered to pay for the shipping, and she said that it would not be necessary. Jolene is an asset to the rental company by which she is employed. This was our second stay in this unit and we will be back in early summer to enjoy your home and beautiful town.Thank you,Betty Jo

Better on the inside.

The exterior needed much work, broken siding, gutters and steps. No railing on the uneven steps to enter the home's main door. This main entry was on the second level with only one bedroom, bathroom and sitting area. The kitchen, living room and 2 other bedrooms were on the lower level. Not what we expected since one of our party has mobility issues. The beds were all extremely hard. Inside was well maintained. " There were dishes left in the dishwasher upon our arrival and we had to take our garbage to the compactor in our own car since we stayed more than one night. There was NO outside trash can available for pick up. The area was nice and quiet. Not clear as to the activities offered in the territory as there was limited info at the home and poor internet access.

Perfect spot for girls weekend

This property was everything it advertised. Spacious rooms and a large dining room table was perfect for our card-playing fun! Most of the “living space” is down a flight of stairs from the entrance, so that may be challenging for some. The property manager, Jolene, was amazing when Mother Nature “crashed” our party. She and her husband came to our rescue and were very helpful. We would definitely stay at one of her properties again!

Great Girls Getaway

Our VRBO house in the Galena territories was the perfect location to unwind & enjoy the many fun things the area has to offer. Beautiful views of the Fall colors - fun shopping & historic tours , and just enjoying a lovely house in the evenings with good friends. We’ll definitely be back again!

Although the house was comfortable and as described, the lighting for the front entrance and the back deck did not work, making it difficult to adequately see the entrance to the house.

Great for gatherings!

Perfect home but cleaning crew needs to step it up. If it wasn’t for the dirty dishes/utensils we would have given 5 stars. Attention to detail is everything when staying in a vacation home. This home is perfect for gathering. Lots of space.
