"The property was beautiful. It would have been nice to have more coffee condiments. The noise coming in from the street was rather bothersome, but overall the stay was nice."

"I am under the impression that this is quiet possibly one of the finest hotels in all of America, being that it is the oldest, the staff are incredibly attentive and helpful, the facilities are clean, and the food is delicious! My only minor comment would by that of the bathroom sinks absurdly close relationship with the toilet. There is no way to sit on that toilet without feeling uncomfortable because there is no space to the right of the toilet for a human body to comfortably sit."

"Place was great. Smaller room but plenty of space. Actual keys which was unusual in a renovated property like this. Location was excellent. Parking was off site but a 5 minute walk. Zero complaints. Will stay here again."

"Loved the scenery our room looked straight into the harbor. Staff was very nice. Food was delicious had fish and chips. The only issue was we had to pay $50.00 a day to park our own car no 24 hr valet service. Paid a lot of money for our room and no free parking. That is the reason I can’t give an overall 5 star"

"Shawn was amazing! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday he went above and beyond! His coworker, who was there also three days, and I am sorry I cannot remember his name, was also there and very amazing during the entire three days. It was our 25th wedding anniversary. We did experience problems with the restaurant next-door on our very last day, but the staff was very attentive and willing to help us."

"We only used the hotel as a one night stop-over before an early morning flight to Richmond, so we didn't take advantage of anything the hotel had to offer. Room service was decent, the room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was exactly what we needed, so no complaints at all. We booked the hotel partly because it was so close to the airport and thought we'd be able to walk from the terminal building. Because of building work going on, however, this was not possible. The free hotel shuttle worked out ok."
