"Grand old hotel of Boston"
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Boston evoking days from a bygone era. Really enjoyed cocktails and food in their bar, a very lively spot with great bartenders (mixing fantastic cocktails!). The food is excellent as well. My room was a bit small but no unexpected in an older hotel. Nonetheless, it was extremely comfortable and quiet. There is excellent shopping right across the street with Neiman Marcus and a host of other upscale shops in the adjacent mall. The hotel is within walking distance of many excellent restaurants. I would return here without hesitation.

Make your own mark on Boston’s history by staying in a hotel with a colourful past.

You can’t walk a block in Boston without tripping over something historically significant. Make the most of this and head over to the Freedom Trail, where you’ll wind through over 3 km of downtown Boston and see prominent items like the USS Constitution (one of the six original frigates of the United States Navy) and the Paul Revere House (where he was living before making his dramatic ride). Following that, you can head to the waterfront to explore the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, and you can actually experience the Boston Tea Party via actors, use of holograms, and yes, several replicas of the merchant vessels that transported the tea.

After an exciting day of taking in the local history, stop by your hotel to relax and catch your breath. A number of hotels in the Boston area are historical buildings themselves; some of them constructed over a century ago. When you stay at a historic hotel in Boston, you’ll enjoy all the modern amenities tucked into a classic shell. Take your meals in a Victorian-styled restaurant, or explore the unique bedrooms at an older bed and breakfast.
