"Great hospitality! "
Our stay had truly personalized service. The staff really went the extra mile with the details and service. The cocktail hour was very nice touch.I felt like I was staying with friends rather than strangers I had just met. Very different feel than a larger'mainstream" hotel. Spacious nice rooms for a hotel located in the heart of a major city...and great location!

"Exceptional hotel"
We arrived early and since our room was ready they let us check in. The valet parked our car then I realized I left something in the car so he graciously went and got our car after he JUST parked it. That was so nice of him! Room was clean, comfortable and as my kids said, "a bit fancy." Snacks and drinks in room were tempting but a bit pricey. Some street noise at night, but we booked this hotel knowing it was in downtown, near everything, and that was to be expected. We checked out early and they held our bags for us the rest of the day while we explored Boston.

Great hotel with top notch staff and service. It has a historic elegance which I appreciate. It also has a few challenges of the historic elegance including an outdated layout. I would not change a thing and I enjoyed our weekend in Boston with our college student.

"Great location! "
So much to do, so little time and if we could not walk to attractions, the T was right outside of the hotel door, super user friendly. The hotel staff and T staff made using the T easy. My daughter and I had some "Mommy" time alone, loved the room, location, décor, location-great experience!

"Our new SPOT!! "
We came to the inn for a little getaway parents of five.. we need to do that now and again!! So we picked the colonial inn not to far but just far enough, we checked in the woman was sweet, informative, took the time to show us around and escorted us to our room, We went to the pub first for a snack before dinner, it was cozy, wonderful apps at the bar and a couple great signature cocktails Lawrence was our guy!! He was great to us, it happened to be the end of his shift but we wanted for nothing, the room was exactly what we needed dinner was lovely our server was spunky, busy but attentive, SUNDAY BRUNCH! Was the icing on the cake, prime rib, lobster bisque omelette station and again staff so extremely on point I wish I could remember their names!! The food was delicious the presentation was amazing!! This is our spot we will return and we look forward to the next time I do hope you enjoy!!

Make your own mark on Boston’s history by staying in a hotel with a colourful past.

You can’t walk a block in Boston without tripping over something historically significant. Make the most of this and head over to the Freedom Trail, where you’ll wind through over 3 km of downtown Boston and see prominent items like the USS Constitution (one of the six original frigates of the United States Navy) and the Paul Revere House (where he was living before making his dramatic ride). Following that, you can head to the waterfront to explore the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, and you can actually experience the Boston Tea Party via actors, use of holograms, and yes, several replicas of the merchant vessels that transported the tea.

After an exciting day of taking in the local history, stop by your hotel to relax and catch your breath. A number of hotels in the Boston area are historical buildings themselves; some of them constructed over a century ago. When you stay at a historic hotel in Boston, you’ll enjoy all the modern amenities tucked into a classic shell. Take your meals in a Victorian-styled restaurant, or explore the unique bedrooms at an older bed and breakfast.

When you book with Expedia.ca, you’ll have access to the best hotels in Boston. It doesn’t matter whether you want to stay in a historic building or a swanky new locale; we’ll unearth the top rooms and suites at rates that won’t make your pocketbook want to jump overboard. Now that’s what we call historic savings.
