Parking was challenging, it would have been helpful to know the parking garage address ahead of time. The hotel was very quiet. The water stations on every floor were wonderful.
We chose The Lenox because it was central to our several day's of college visits in Boston. We wanted to stay in town so that our daughter could walk around in the area and get a feel for the town and people and whether or not she felt safe if she were here alone. She did and we did. The staff could ...
Location was GREAT. As a walker, it allowed me to walk to multiple destinations. Staff were great. Room was small, the bathroom smaller. The mattress was awesome, particularly since I have a bad back; although the staff was unable to tell me the maker of the mattress when I asked them.
Service is top notch! Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We had an issue with our room which they tended to right away. The location for downtown Boston couldn't be better. While this is an older building with history and charm the rooms could use a makeover"-at times felt dated-but ...

Forged in the Revolution and featuring history on every corner, Boston is still a city of great spirit. Come see it for yourself on your next vacation to Beantown.
Make your own mark on Boston’s history by staying in a hotel with a colourful past.
You can’t walk a block in Boston without tripping over something historically significant. Make the most of this and head over to the Freedom Trail, where you’ll wind through over 3 km of downtown Boston and see prominent items like the USS Constitution (one of the six original frigates of the United States Navy) and the Paul Revere House (where he was living before making his dramatic ride). Following that, you can head to the waterfront to explore the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, and you can actually experience the Boston Tea Party via actors, use of holograms, and yes, several replicas of the merchant vessels that transported the tea.
After an exciting day of taking in the local history, stop by your hotel to relax and catch your breath. A number of hotels in the Boston area are historical buildings themselves; some of them constructed over a century ago. When you stay at a historic hotel in Boston, you’ll enjoy all the modern amenities tucked into a classic shell. Take your meals in a Victorian-styled restaurant, or explore the unique bedrooms at an older bed and breakfast.
