"Nice boutique, avg amenities, EXCELLENT location"
While it's shiny and new, this is a true boutique hotel with fewer frills than I would have expected for a metro 4-star. Sort of sterile lobby but front desk staff were very warm and welcoming. Small "kiosk" type bar was adequate but out of many things - Sam Adams on tap, Kahlua & cream, Citron - not talking top shelf but the basics. Not just 1 night, every night? No business center but if you e-mail doc's, they'll print for you. While appreciated, a little inconvenient and not sure I want them seeing my stuff. Rooms were VERY comfortable and decent size for a boutique, with awesome bedding / pillows. However, in-room amenities were average with a very limited, over-priced basket of "mini-bar" items. By far, best feature is the location - 2 blocks from Boston Common and start of Freedom Trail with all of downtown Boston - from Beacon Hill to Waterfront - an easy walk. Downtown Crossing subway 1-1/2 blocks away makes it easy to get to/from Logan or other parts of the city. Plenty of shopping, dining, drinking options in any direction. Recommend the little coffee shop, just off the lobby (not sure if actually part of the hotel) for a great, tasty, inexpensive start to your day. Also a great breakfast cafe right around the corner on Temple Pl.

"Great Hotel, Close to Airport (BOS)"
Very friendly staff, I was very happy to see such a nice big room with no carpets! I slept like a baby and will be happy to return again if and when I pass by.

We knew they were renovating. Breakfast and staff lovely. Room rate could have been a little lower due to renovations as things inside very tired. It will be lovely when finished im sure!

This was a great place to start our short Boston visit. Close to everything and a great place to stay. No coffee in rooms was only downfall, but free downstairs. Close to the T also.

"Ok for the price"
I got a good deal so this was my choice. The building had a musty smell that was irritating. Staff at the front desk did not seem to know anything about the area. The room was clean. The continental breakfast was actually quite good. One staff member in dining area was extremely hateful - kept arguing with patrons about "rules" in the dining area. Very rude, unpleasant and down right mean. Not what you want or expect at 7am after just waking up. Food at the bar was good. However bar area appeared short-staffed.

There was a fire in a business within the same building. Hotel staff did a wonderful job getting everyone out and accounting for everyone.

If it’s summer, bring those sandals for some beach sports, and if it’s winter, bring that warm jacket for a brisk morning stroll.

Start your beach-hopping adventure at Revere Beach. Located 7 km north of downtown Boston and accessible by the subway (nicknamed the “T”), this 3-km beach is the oldest public beach in the United States. While you can spend your whole day walking along the sand, take a peek at the Victorian-styled pavilions and old-fashioned bathhouses. Revere Beach is also a popular spot for dog lovers, and you’ll see plenty of locals walking their pooches during morning’s first light. For something a little calmer, head 16 km south of downtown to the South Boston Beaches, a continuous stretch of sandy regions looking out to Dorchester Bay. If you’re travelling around the New Year, make your way to L Street Beach, where the “L Street Brownies” plunge into the icy water every January 1st.

Whether you’re looking for a place to wash off the sand or get your bones warmed up, you can count on your Boston beach hotel. Pick a spot close to the shore for the ultimate convenience. And not to worry about fishing around for great deals; Expedia makes it easy to book a hotel in Boston on the cheap. We also offer top discounts on pet-friendly hotels if you’re looking to bring Buddy or Sassy along for the trip.

Life’s a beach when you visit Boston. Just make sure you have a cozy beach hotel to welcome you back from the sea.
