"Updated hotel rooms"
The rooms were updated, but the location is directly on route 1. If you want convenience in location - you are fairly close to the city and to BOS airport for the price. The hotel is noisy, however. Bring your ear plugs.

"Good value for stay in Boston"
Our stay was good; room was comfortable and seemed to be updated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very good access to subway and close to attractions. Only negative was that coffee stocked in the room for next day was all decaffeinated. Wish access to the hotel was easier from the interstate also.

"Great little hotel close to TD Arena!"
Quiet, comfortable, nicest staff ever - friendly and helpful. Free morning coffee in the lobby and breakfast at the restaurant was very good. Walking distance to all the main site seeing areas. This is our second stay at The Kimpton Onyx.

Great stay, beautiful room with a beautiful view, close to commons. However Friday at 740am some kind of drilling began and went on and off for the next 2 hours. That did not happened Saturday. But it was an extreme annoyance as I was on vacation to rest and sleep in. I know upgrades are necessary but maybe a later start wouldn't hurt.

"great location in heart of Fenway."
Close to great museums, colleges, restaurants and shopping. The two story motel surrounded by towering buildings creates a unique special feel with good light. Love the decor, fun and tasteful play on standard signs, and the record players in each room with reall record collection to chose from in the lobby.

"Close to city"
I wouldn't have any complaints...except- they had to reset the hot water and there was no hot water for my shower. Breakfast was a slightly messy affair with the OJ non-existent, as the only juice option. Staff appeared to restock when most were done eating. Could have been better, especially for the price, but not horrible.
