Buffalo Mountain Lodge

Buffalo Mountain Lodge

8/10 Good
"The room was quite expensive but that might have been due to time of year, last week of August and I only booked a month before coming. But the room and suite was large, clean, ability to prepare meals (had a counter hob, refrigerator . Parking right out front of your room . Food at the restaurant was excellent. There is the banff roam bus that picks you up across the road. The hotel gives free three day passes to get on the bus (otherwise $2 to ride). You can walk into town also I think less than a mile but it is up and down hill (there is a side walk). If you like a quieter place to rest your head it’s the perfect place as it’s a little out of the bustle of town,"

Fairmont Banff Springs

Fairmont Banff Springs

10/10 Excellent
"This is a splurge, but I really enjoy the Fairmont. Staff is very nice. Spa is one of my favorites if you take advantage of the 3 hours before or after in the thermal pool/relaxation areas, golf is amazing but oh so pricey, food in delicious, rooms are beautiful but very small, especially the bathroom. This being our second visit in ten years maintains the quality and experience are lovely, and why we will likely return ten years from now :)"

"The location was great for being off of the main Banff Ave because of the complimentary Roam Transit passes. The rooms were a good value for the cost and it was really nice receiving fresh towels and trash collection daily. I realize that AC is not a standard in all countries but would have appreciated knowing that it was not available prior to arrival."

"We had a great first time stay in Banff! Upon arriving, we were quickly greeted. Although we were a bit early, we could check in & park, as well as received bus tickets for our group for the length of our stay; to travel along the area. Beds were comfy, and clean. Thank you!"
