I stayed at the Banff Inn on my last night of my Banff vacation. I choose this because it was on Banff Ave and convenient for my return ride to the airport in Calgary. The Inn is as expected- clean, it has a restaurant (which we didn't eat at), the rooms are quiet and a good size plus the beds are very comfortable, in addition there is a small refrigerator. Of note; this property is a fair walk from the main Banff area of restaurants and shops. The Inn also only has one elevator which was a problem because we were trying to get to our third floor room from the garage with luggage at the same time as a tour group arrived. Over all I was pleased with this property.

This hotel does not provide a bus pass for the duration of your stay. Since it is about a 15 minute walk from the prime shopping area in Banff, we find this surprising. The clerk checking us in said, rather officiously) that only hotels further from the center provide them, but the hotel across the street does, as well as those closer to town. Since Banff has terrible traffic, I would think the city would encourage all hotels to provide this. Otherwise, the hotel is great.

Lovely hotel with easy underground parking included in the price. Easy to walk downtown (approx. 10 mins) and lots of options for taking public transit. Hotel was easy to find and staff were helpful. Only down vote is that it lists a pool, but it’s more like a large hot tub…
