I really wanted to love my stay at the Elk Avenue and for the most part, it was wonderful with the exception of our room. Parking was easy, the staff was very helpful throughout check in and even printed our park pass out for us and delivered it to our room. The issue we had was with the air conditioner in our room. It was broken upon arrival, we were not notified as it seems they had found a fix. The solution to this was apparently to put a portable AC in our room which vented out the window. The issue is that in order to vent out the window, the window had to be open the entire time. The open portion was covered with clear plastic and foil taped in place. Our room did back up to some kind of machinery and a wall but I was still pretty hesitant to both stay and leave my belongings in the room. The hotel was booked throughout our stay so changing wasn’t an option.

The location is perfect- right by the bus stop to visit the various sights. The restaurant on site and adjoining coffee bar are excellent choices for a quick bite or a full meal. The staff were courteous and helpful. While there was nothing to complain about the cleanliness, the rooms on the whole looked rather dated! The carpet could surely use a refresh, and the chair a little more comfortable. Otherwise, a definite recommend.

Close to Lake Louise. The cabins are cute; love taking pictures with it at the background. We felt safe walking around the area. Staff are nice and friendly.

Great location, but quality control is lacking. Some kind of Vent pipe was hapharzardly sticking out through the ground floor window, making it impossible to close the window, and was this a security risk.When we asked, we got another room. but how did no one see that?
