Hotels in Victoria Falls, Rancho Mirage from CA $69

The best time to visit Victoria Falls is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

During these months, the weather is generally clear and sunny, with lower humidity. The water levels in the Zambezi River are lower, which means the spray from the falls is less intense, allowing for clearer views of the entire 1.7-kilometre width of the falls. This also makes activities like swimming in Devil's Pool (usually between August and October) and white-water rafting more accessible and enjoyable.

Travellers who enjoy photography will find this period ideal, as the reduced spray provides excellent opportunities for capturing the full grandeur of the falls without equipment getting soaked. Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the pleasant weather for sunset cruises on the Zambezi or guided walks along the falls, offering unobstructed views and comfortable conditions.

For those looking to combine their visit with wildlife safaris in nearby national parks, the dry season is also prime time. Animals tend to congregate around water sources, making them easier to spot. This makes it a great choice for families, as they can enjoy both the spectacular natural wonder of the falls and exciting wildlife encounters.
