« I generally stay in 4–5 star accommodation, and based on the website description and previous reviews, I expected Hay’s Wood Retreat to fall into that category. Unfortunately, the standard of the lodge did not match the ‘luxury’ billing — in my assessment it was closer to a solid 3-star property. « There was absolutely no things left like salt and pepper washing up liquid of any amount . No towels and the beds were very uncomfortable. The general condition was satisfactory however the floor was dirty and had to be moped. The overall vibe wasn't very welcoming as the caravan felt soulless. Having said all that, the value was very good and we would visit again, despite these niggles. »

« Stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults, 2 children and our dog. This place is a hidden gem in North Yorkshire. We had the most magical time. The Tree house and hut tub were pre heat for our arrival. Despite being very cold the little Tree house was so so cozy and remained cosy all night long after the fire had burnt out.
