7.2/10 Good! (1,007 reviews)
The hotel itself has a lot of potential, and our room was nice, although it could benefit from some maintenance and a little TLC. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the amount of money we spent on our stay. On arrival, there seemed to be insufficient staff to manage check-ins, leaving guests waiting for a long time. We had requested a travel cot in advance, but it had not been set up in our room. A lovely member of staff eventually brought one after we asked, but no sheet was provided. The biggest issue, however, was the constant barking and howling from a dog in the neighbouring room. Every time a door opened or closed, or someone walked past in the corridor, the dog would start barking. This continued late into the evening, and meant that none of us could get a decent night's sleep. I am pregnant, travelling with our baby and six-year-old son, so a peaceful night's rest was particularly important. When my husband raised the issue with reception at 9.30pm, after hours of barking, he was told there was nothing they could do and that we had been placed in the "dog corridor". We have no pets ourselves, so it was frustrating to discover that we had been allocated a room in this area without any apparent consideration for the impact it might have.

"Great place and location. Must admit I find it unusual that I book and paid for a 3 person room. Then told on arrival supplement for 3rd person needs to be paid."
