They now charge a small fee for room service. Never had that before. Again, the staff were friendly enough, but all of the small things added up and we were overall a little disappointed. She set us up with a great whale watching tour, made a couple of calls for me, was super professional and delightful… 2) they had a nice bar pool 3) housekeeping staff are amazing. Our room was always cleaned flawlessly and they were super polite and kind. Here is what wasn’t: 1) I asked the concierge to help me find a hairdresser to get my hair done. I asked him for prices and he gave me a range. I was very clear that I My sister and I went to the hairdresser to get our hair one. They did a fine job but the bill came and it was $800\. The owner sneaked off and left her receptionist to manage telling us the news. Now shame on me- I should have confirmed pricing when I went in. But when I knew the top of the range- it was inside my budget (it was going to be at the most 250 each) —- when I went to complain at the concierge- he was totally useless. Didn't do anything to help, didnt offer anything to make up for it- and the manager never called me as I requested. . The breakfast buffet is very nice and we would highly recommend for dinner the steak restaurant and also the Asian restaurant. The Italian restaurant was not good. Pretty poor service. I want to give special credit to Adrian who is one of the breakfast servers. He was SO friendly and very Customer Service minded. Also Mr. Roberto, who is a server at the Asian restaurant really went above and beyond for us the last night. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is visiting Cancun. My first visit was about 10 years ago when the resort had just opened, and I’m happy to say the quality has remained very good over the years. The service continues to be excellent. I especially want to recognize Jeremías at the bar and Julio at the Finest Club bar. Both were very kind and attentive and truly made our experience better. The drinks are even better than I remember from my first visit, and the food was also very good with plenty of variety. Like any place, there are always small things that could improve. When we visited Domo, the restaurant in the Finest Club area, the air conditioning was not working, which made the experience a bit uncomfortable. Also, at times there was only one bartender at certain bars, especially at the pool bar, which can be a lot for one person when it gets busy. Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort. It works well for families because there are activities for children, but it also has adults-only areas for those looking for a quieter stay. I didn’t travel with my kids this time, so I can’t comment in detail on the children’s activities, but it was clear there were many options available.
