"Pleasant but a few grumbles. "
Another pleasant stay at the hotel with only a few grumbles. Our room was next to the stairwell and a surprising number of people tried to get in to our room by accident, i assume, which was a little disconcerting throughout the night. The front door to the hotel slams shut in the wind which woke us up a few times but other than that it was a good stay. Helpful staff and quality breakfast.

"Centrally located with a fabulous grotto-like pool"
Pleasant, quiet, clean hotel; close to the center of town; nice view of Edinburgh from your hotel window. ghe best feature - in my humble opinion - is the grotto-like swimming pool and spa center. Sparkling clean and restorative after a long flight.

Friendly staff upon entering the hotel. Our room was on the side of the hotel by a side street so we could hear the restaurants dumping their glass bottles. Wasn't the best view, but clean and spacious.

"The location is perfect in the centre of Ecunburgh"
The hotel is under going a refit so understand that downstairs lobby area was a bit chaotic. The breakfast was disappointing for the price and service during breakfast very poor. In the bedrooms we didn't have a mini bar or robes in the bathroom. The concierge staff were very friendly and efficient and I would like to return when the refit is finished although it was expensive for what you got compared to similar category hotels in Edinburgh city centre.

"Fantastic view and location ! Stunning inside "
We stayed for a Christmas break and from entering the hotel we were made to feel extra special.. The hotel it's self is stunning. Every room immaculate. Bar & food area beautiful and with the most attentative staff.. Nothing was a bother. We travelled with 2 children and we were never made to feel uneasy even in the bar at nighttime. Can't wait to go back. Loved it so much .

"Comfortable hotel in good central location."
I would recommend this hotel for it's almost central location (about five minutes walk) from Princess Street and the comfortable rooms. Breakfast was good although maybe the toaster could be replaced as it seemed unpredictable. Staff are very helpful and efficient and will help with any transport queries or sight seeing suggestions. Would stay there again.

"Great Location"
I booked last minute because I wanted to be in the area. The place is beautiful. The room was amazingly comfortable. I was so excited for air conditioning (rare over in Europe). The shower was fantastic and the bed very comfortable. The staff were so friendly as I had to leave my bags there for a few hours after checking out.
