"Hotel close to the airport"
Was here on a business trip otherwise would have stayed closer to the city centre as the hotel is a bit further out, near the airport. The room was comfortable and clean. Food was good but quite pricey. Unfortunately the spa facilities were out of order so we were unable to use them.

"Beautiful building right at the centre of things"
To be able to stay so close to the Royal Mile, the Castle, the shops, the station and all the other attractions was great. Edinburgh is a fantastic city to explore on foot.

"A hotel that concentrates on happy customers"
We have to mention Daniel..on reception when we first arrived and so friendly, helpful, and an absolute asset to the hotel. Restaurant staff helpful and smiling even near the end of service. Used the spa and pool and just cannot fault any of the staff..I just hope they are well paid. Room lovely, en suite more than adequate .only moan was , no tissues ( it's a female thing!) Only 2 pillows on bed, enough for me but not hubby. All in all one of the best! Would definitely use again.

"Hotel comfortable "
Well located, comfortable hotel. The room was clean and well presented. However the public areas are a little tired and aroma in the foyer was a little off putting. Shame as this was the first and lasting impression, which could easily be rectified.

Breajfast was super, staff very attentive however reception staff need to remember who pays their wages & stop being superior but after 43 years in the catering industry things dont change

"Close to everything. A great central spot."
We had a lovely stay at The Roxburghe. The room was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Timing, unfortunately, wasn't on our side because the hotel was under renovations, and some of the amenities were unavailable. The location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the city on foot.

"Great Castle but needs attention"
Very grand and wonderful location. I booked the castle rock suite which is away from the castle. Was told there was parking available but there was no way my car would fit through the very narrow roman bridge. Very poorly lit grounds I fell over on my walk back to my room and grazed my knee. 2 Loose concrete steps near the orangery restaurant....very dangerous. The Dungeon Restaurant is extortionate - 2 courses for nearly £43 and very basic ingredients. I would stay again but wouldn't eat there. Quite disappointing.
