"We didn't use the Spa which I am sure is lovely, its an additional cost and we didn't have time. The lobby is also ok, its the rooms! The bed was comfy but the bath, shower attachment and shower curtain were from the 1970's as was the furniture in the room - minimal toiletries - 2 mini shampoo bottles! A spa hotel is the implication, but it certainly not that !"

"I could not turn the radiator off in my room and it was constantly on and it was very hot. The people staying in the room next to me left their TV on all night. I asked them to turn it down and they did the next night but then they just sat there chatting till one 2 o’clock in "

"Room was clean, shower plenty of hot water at all times. Lift out of order (these things happen!!), the stairs probably were better for me anyway!! One night stay to see band, 1865 club - only 20 min walk away, ideal for somewhere to crash. Station only 10 min away. Have stayed before and will stay again. "

"Dogs allowed (would not call it particularly dog "friendly"). Great location close to town and the beach. Superior room was large, quiet and comfy bed."

"The staff were friendly and the room was spacious. There were a lot of things that detracted from the experience though: lifts not working, power sockets broken, heated towel rail permanently off, people playing in the pool with balls (despite this being prohibited), broken lockers… it sadly made an otherwise good experience frustrating. Not what I would have expected for the price paid."
