"We hadden bij het boeken niet gezien dat het particulier huisje op vakantiepark betreft. Het zwembad en de activiteiten waren om die reden niet inclusief bij ons verblijf. Bij aankomst bleek de keukeninventaris echt smerig en hebben we eerst afgewassen. De bedden (matrassen) waren slecht, de veren staken door matrassen en de bedden kraakten onder ons gewicht (geen overgewicht), ook bij de kinderen (tieners). Elektriciteit gaat nog op een meter, valt echt uit als je op pad bent en je bent...

The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate

8/10 Good

"As always a very good job done by housekeeping and the Lodge was spotless. However there were a few things that need attention such as a missing blind and stained carpet. This didn't affect the enjoyment of our stay. The Spa was good and friendly staff. The access to the pool is very restricted for children which is understandable. This will probably mean we are unlikely to return with children although we also visit as a couple."

"I was very happy with the hotel overall. The facilities provided were excellent, and I had a pleasant stay. My only disappointment was that I did not get the sea view that was shown in the pictures when I made the booking. I was expecting a room with a sea view, so this was a little disappointing. Apart from that, everything was good, and I appreciate the facilities and services provided by the hotel."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Alverton. The room by the courtyard was very nice, and the bed super comfortable. Nice and quiet as well. The one thing that was a bit disappointing was the breakfast - we had decided to stick with the continental option, the buffet was limited, the toast we had ordered never arrived, and my mum’s gluten free toast got there only just before we left, more than half an hour in. I appreciate things can get busy, but it was unfortunate that there was no communication about it."

"Despite being at the hotel during a bad storm we had a good stay. We made use of the pool and poolside amenities with our 6 yr old who enjoyed it. We ate at the Brasserie and had the best meal we’ve had for a long time - it was expensive, but worth it. Our room was clean and well presented; it was a luxury family room with a sun deck. All the staff we interacted with were polite, helpful and positive. We’d definitely stay again and recommend."
