On the edge of Kilkhampton village. Kilkhampton village, which is a nice 5 minute walk along Penstowe Road, has 2 great pubs, 3 convenience stores, 1 Chinese take away, pizza takeaway and a chip shop. Just 4 miles from Bude and 2 miles from sandymouth beach. All bedding is supplied and also a bath mat and tea towels. You just have to bring your own towels. Pay only a 25% deposit when booking, the remaining balance is due only 7 days before your stay. The accomodation was small and basic, as advertised. I had a great night sleep so cannot complaine about the beds. The living area is comfortable and cozy, although we did spend a lot of our tine on the back terrace.The floor as you come in from the terrace is leaning to one side and the sliding door is difficult to lock.Therre was a shower may in the bathroom which haddent been cleaned as there was a lot of gunk on there. I was impressed with how immaculate the property was upon arrival & have done our best to leave it as we found it. It was in a peaceful location, so we slept well. Great that there was a room for us & one for the children. Everything needed was there & we had means to communicate with the owner, Dave, if we needed anything or had an queries. Made use of the fridge & lovely to be able to shower. He did tell us to bring our own towels which was fair enough. Instructions to get there were lovely & clear. It was an ideal base for our trip to Bude which was stunning & had a sea pool/lido.
