Byōdō-in temple in Uji, on the southern outskirts of Kyoto is a stunning work of restoration. A UNESCO world heritage listed site, its significance is displayed on the 10 yen coin and 10,000 yen note. Byōdō-in's Phoenix Hall is a Japan's National Treasure in Uji, Kyoto prefecture, Japan It was built in 1153. Byōdō-in was registered as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Historic monuments of ancient Kyoto".

It was also very convenient that the hotel elevator connected directly to the shopping center. By taking the escalator, I could easily reach Uniqlo, MUJI, and Starbucks without going outside, which was especially convenient.
