Wonderful Place
Loved it. Modernized and very comfortable, with enough “Old Tahoe” touches remaining to be great fun. Very responsive and conscientious hosts. Quiet and relaxing with the river next door. Never had a better Tahoe stay. Convenient location to all that Tahoe offers.

Excellent cabin close to Palisades on the river and in the woods. Great for a couple, small family or group. Great for a winter or summer getaway.

Great location and wonderful cottage!
Hans the property owner was an excellent communicator—he went above and beyond to answer my questions. There was record snowfall prior to our arrival and the snow removal and attention to the property was top notch. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in for a vrbo. Highly recommend you book any of the properties Hans owns. We hope to stay again soon!

A weekend that we’llNe
This charming cottage is in a quiet and peaceful setting, surrounded by aspen trees and a front view seat of the Truckee River. It has that feeling of nature that immediately puts you at ease, at least it did for us. The cottage is a perfect place for a couple. Their second rental property allows you to invite loved ones and have plenty of space between the two properties. If you have a California fishing license, it’s just a few steps and you’re right on the river and we even caught fish! This was everything we were looking for when planning an elopement. Hans and Karen were kind enough to let us elope on the property, and we married on the lawn right in front of river. It was everything we could have hoped for and more for our special day.

River sound is amazing
Getting away in Tahoe is always a treat. The sounds of the Truckee River was heavenly while sleeping. The cabin was Adorable and older. I didn't anticipate all the other cabins and homes around this one. It was a surprising treat that it was quiet! Not as much space around the cabin as I had thought but it served it's purpose! 😊

Beautiful location, responsive host!
Hans provided detailed information prior to our stay and was quick to respond to inquiries. The cottage is very cute, and the location is beautiful! It was quiet but conveniently located, which was just what we were looking for.

I wanted to stay at the cozy cabin for so many more days! Hans is 100% responsive, everything was perfect. The Bridge 2 road is a bit tricky to find (although just about directly across 89 from Palisades turnoff) but only the first time.

We came here to ski at Squaw and had the best time coming “home” to this sweet cottage. It was so cozy, clean, and private. We loved every single minute of it and cannot wait to come back!

Perfect stay for a ski trip
I had booked Hans' cottage for a ski trip at nearby Palisades Tahoe. The cottage was very comfortable and well appointed. It had everything I needed and was extremely convenient to head to either Olympic Village or Alpine Meadows. Parking was easy and Hans was a very friendly and communicative host. Hope to stay again the next time I am up here skiing!

Truckee River Spot
Great location to do some fly fishing on the Truckee River. Simple cottage with great views of the river. Truckee River is only steps away from the porch. Bring insect repellent and sun screen so you can enjoy the river all day long.

Had a great timr
The cottage is set perfectly next to the river. The river is loud but couldn't really hear it in the cabin. Loved the board games in the cabin, played some chess with my friend. The bench facing the river was my favorite spot. I am definitely looking forward to coming back again. Beautiful area.

Comfort close to nature
This delightful setting by the Truckee River provided walks in the woods, sounds of river rapids, and a window into spring coming to the Tahoe area. A wonderfully comfortable bed to curl up in and gapped spaces for a working holiday. A very pleasant stay!

Idyllic location
This sweet little cabin was of the most beautiful settings I’ve even been to. Everything was just as pictured. My kids loved playing in the snow and watching the river flow by. A truly magical place in the winter

Gem in N Tahoe
Stayed for 3 Nights with my son and best friend. Was a lovely spot on the river. Close to the lake and incredible hiking. Clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!
