"The hotel is in a decent location, about a 10–15 minute walk to Waikiki Beach. The staff were always kind and friendly, and the beautiful views definitely help make up for the VERY small rooms. The rooms also have in-wall AC units, so expect tight quarters, especially with a family or lots of luggage. We really enjoyed the open-air check-in and lounge areas, which gave the hotel a nice Hawaiian feel and provided extra space outside the room. Our biggest frustration was that some important information wasn’t explained at check-in. No one told us that you have to scan your room key before selecting your floor in the elevator. It took us a while to figure out, which was frustrating after a long flight when we were exhausted. The elevators are extremely crowded, so expect to wait, especially for higher floors. The pool is small for the size of the hotel and was usually overcrowded, and unfortunately the hot tub was cold during our stay. Parking is also limited. The garage is very small, and one evening it was completely full when we returned, leaving us to find parking elsewhere. Overall, the views, open-air spaces, friendly staff, and location are definite positives, but the small rooms, crowded elevators and pool, cold hot tub, and limited parking are things to be aware of."

"The only thing was that the 'beach' nearest the resort is not swimmable (mostly rocks)-however we, walked further up and there was actually sand, but the beach looked unsafe with a visible drop off in ocean--but it was ok for a nice stroll--just not too far from hotel. Make sure you let hotel staff know at check-in if you want your room cleaned (which we prefer..)--especially if you have beach activities what with all the sand, showering and change of clothes. Otherwise, they have everything there and staff was really attentive. We would definitely recommend. The food is really good for room service (after a day of kayaking & hiking--we even ordered from nearby Dominos on one night!"
