The "Premium Ocean View" room is a scam, not worth the upgrade. They should rename it "Mediocre Partial Ocean View". Our room faced the hotel across the street from us. The only way to get a glimpse of the ocean was from a small 5'x5' triangle section in the corner of the room. Even then, the ocean is only visible through a 15 degree field of view (basically, in the 10-11 o'clock directions).
Room itself was nicely decorated, but walls are thin. We could hear screaming kids and drunk adults in the hallway, as well as our neighbor's TV.
Even though there were 3 of us in our party, housekeeping only provided 2 coffee/tea cups and two glasses in our from. When we checked in, there were only two tea bags, one black and one chamomile. There were also only two coffee pods. Pretty unacceptable considering they knew that there would be three of us.
Resort fees are the priciest I've seen in Oahu. Many free activities are included (yoga, ukulele lessons, etc.), but none of the ones of interest to us aligned with our schedule. If you feel these activities make the resort fees worthwhile, you may want to contact the hotel for the schedule before booking.
Lastly, the parking is pretty horrible. Self parking lot is very tight, takes a lot of time to get into/out of, as there are many sections that aren't wide enough for 2 cars going in opposite directions. Valet parking is bad, because cars are parked outside under the sun, so it was always extremely hot when getting in.
