"Good location."
Updated Jr. Suite over lobby (Rm. 206), large lanai, nice garden and peek-a-boo ocean view, very quiet, clean. Efficient housekeeping services; helpful registration and bell hop staff. Disappointed Concierge desk; too "commission" minded. Need more training (don't play with or fix your bra strap while serving a customer!); kept saying "I don't know" to most questions we asked, although she gladly made a call to a taxi service to get answers for us. The next day, with more questions on transport, another Concierge attendant said it was not their job, the end. Very rude. Deceiving "welcome gift" package which was nothing but a "come on" to attend a 120-minute vacation sales presentation, receive a $100 AmEx card at the end. No thanks. Otherwise, hotel is very comfortable. Cinnamons Restaurant food and service is super! Although there was one young bus girl who emptied used water glasses by tossing (literally) the water out over the surrounding landscape with a scowl on her face while cleaning a table. Hey, it's a job...smile! Good public transportation spot; tried "Waikiki Trolley" pink line to uptown Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Center, $2 one way. Trolley also has 4 other lines that travel a variety of routes. First time we didn't rent a car or pay the hotel $28/day parking fee. A cousin rented a privately owned condo in Ilikai and was very disappointed when they compared our accommodations to theirs even though they were on a higher level with a better view

"Park Shore Waikiki - August 2016"
Park Shore Waikiki is a decent hotel located in the middle of the action on Waikiki Beach. The hotel appears to be an older building and though it is in fairly good shape it certainly shows it's age. The staff is excellent and the amenities are acceptable for the price. The room I stayed in was called a "Suite" but it was really just a regular room with a small kitchen area. I was disappointed to find that my room did not come with a dresser or a desk/table and chair though it did have a sofa-bed and a nice flat-screen TV with Time-Warner cable. The room did have a nice balcony with 2 chairs and a small table with a nice view of the beach and Diamond Head in the distance. Overall, I give the Park Shore Waikiki 4 out of 5 stars with the foot-note that you get what you pay for.

"Good use of budget. Balance of cheap and good."
We stayed there for 5 days over the summer. It was my wife, me and 1 year old. I chose this hotel as it was the best 3 star hotel that I found that didn't raise any red flags when i was reading it's other reviews. Overall, I would say I was pleased with what we found. The location is perfect. There is a well known local restaurant where you can get your sushi balls in the morning, a shuttle that takes you to the shopping center, and it was very close to Waikiki beach. We also did the Polynesian Cultural Center, and the shuttle to pickup for that excursion is also just a block down the road. The staff was great and attentive. There are some things that are the norm for hotels in that area which turn me off. All the hotels around there charge an amenity fee on top of the base rate. I think fees like that are questionable as there are things like the PS3 in all the rooms go completely unused. They have a free DVD rental box, but who rents DVDs on vacation? I wouldn't recommend renting a car for this hotel as it's close enough to things you won't need it, and parking is sparse and expensive.

"Steps from the beach"
Our partial ocean view room was worth the extra cost. Great views still. Hotel had everything you need. Towels and beach chairs and mats were a real bonus. The coconut shrimp at the tiki bar is great. Happy hour 2-5pm every day. 3 dollar beers. Closet to shops but not too close like the other hotels. Also 40 minute walk to diamond head (not including the hike itself). 20 min walk to Leonard's bakery ( cinnamon one is the best), Ono poke and Ono meat local restaurants to get the real deal Hawaiian food. The room was large and clean. Comfy bed. Free DVDs if you wanted. Little balcony to sit and watch the sunset.

"My vacation in Hawaii"
The staff at the Stay are very friendly and very knowledgeable of the local area. One thing I loved was the shower! Something so simple but so relaxing. The karaoke bar located in the hotel had great drinks and great service. The only thing I was disappointed in was the description on the Expedia site. The room is not as big in the picture and there is no hand chair in the room. But over all had a great experience and a wonderful time in Hawaii.

A quaint boutique-style hotel just a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but within walking distance from the beach and major shopping district. Magnificent view of the ocean and of Diamond Head. Just a short walk from the zoo and aquarium. Room decor simple, yet not dated. A comfy hideaway.
