Very new facility (opened in 2017) & it shows. Large, clean rooms. Laundry/dryer inside room - a big plus. Every staff member encountered was friendly. Easy checkout. Parking costs $$$, but fine if you know the cost in advance.

This is our 3rd time here and we were so disappointed in the poor condition of our room. The room we stayed in had so many non-working issues (i.e. TV, toilet, ceiling fans, power outlets, clogged drains, etc.).

Our suite was on the 32nd floor with two balconies. The suite was really nice with upgraded appliances and the staff did a great job daily. The private pool at the grand islander was nice, and the facilities were great. The suite was lacking some expected items like dish cloths and towels, there was no recycling, and the pull out couch bed was horrible (the main king bed was nice). I liked the countertop chargers and waterfall shower. Expect to pay a lot of extra for valet parking ($72 US a day and they don’t even go to your hotel, you have to go to the main lobby a block away). Also there’s a daily resort fee too of $40. Two chairs and an umbrella at the beach will run you $90US a day. The hotel itself is beautiful. The pools are all nice, the beach is nice, the food and options and shopping is great. Make sure to catch the fireworks on the beach or from your balcony on Friday nights.
