"Preferred Place to Stay in Banff"
We enjoyed our stay at the Rimrock. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. They have a nice reading room and spa. We saw wildlife from the hotel. Parking was easy and the hotel was much quieter and less chaotic than the famous hotel in town. Enjoyed having two sinks in the bathroom area so our family of four could get ready faster. The hotel is up Mountain Road so some of the views were very nice. It is very close to the Banff hot springs (you could easily walk there). Would definitely stay there again.

"Decent price, close to everything downtown"
If you want to be close to the shops and restaurants, Mount Royale is a perfect location. The sound proofing was actually better than what I expected, although you can still hear late night bachelorette parties. Free earplugs help with that though. Staff was always courteous and the room was adequate and clean, although I definitely have to agree the hotel could use a remodel. I'm pretty laid back and easy to please, but even I was like, "woah! This hotel has taken a beating!" There's dents and scratches on the doors and walls, and the furniture is pretty old school. Overall though, I would totally consider staying here again due to location and being reasonably priced.

    "Great location. Good value"
Stayed here on our last night in Calgary for a touch of luxury. Great location right by Stephen avenue and he C train. Lots of restaurants and shops. Hotel foyer very nice, staff helpful, hotel bar dark and noisy but good atmosphere and not too pricey. Hotel room light, large bathroom and good sized beds. If I was to be picky, would have liked a kettle as I prefer tea to coffee and would have been better value if breakfast included.
