Manitoba provides a wealth of things to do whether you want to explore the great outdoors or the big city life. After choosing your cheap hotel deals in Manitoba, you may want to look at the top zoo in the area, the Assiniboine Park Zoo. With more than 2,000 different animals, ranging between 200 various species, this is a zoo that can easily fill an entire day with fun and adventure. Children will especially love all of these animals, both those that are native to Canada, such as powerful brown bears, and those that have arrived from all around the world, such as elephants and lions. This is one of the top excursions, and you'll find more to see every time you go back.

Manitoba is also home to a large number of events that will draw you in with their cultural ties. You can check out the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra New Music Festival, with its brilliant professional musicians, or the Northern Manitoba Trappers' Festival, which really embraces the history and culture of the country in a way that few events can. The Trappers' festival has its roots in 1916, and it features the World Championship Dog Race, along with a number of classic activities like setting traps, canoeing, and moose calling. Look for Manitoba hotel deals located nearby so that getting to the festival is easy.

Finally, you could book rooms and Manitoba hotel packages in the bustling city of Winnipeg where you can find some of the best dining around. Your cheap Manitoba hotel deal could put you in close proximity to places like the Mountain Bean Coffee Company, with a special interior styled after a log cabin or the Yellow Dog Tavern, which turns pub food on its head with soup, burgers, classic sandwiches, quesadillas, and old staples like beef, Guinness stew, and homemade chili. There are also steakhouses and other fine dining options for those who crave high-class fare.

Before going to this beautiful Canadian province, look for discount rates and low prices so that you can set up your reservations while there is still plenty of room.

"Great hotel if you want to be downtown."
We were in the city for a concert and this hotel was perfect! A one block walk to the MTS Centre, beautiful room with a wonderful heated bathroom floor! Staff were very accommodating - parking does cost but once you park most things were walking distance and you can come and go from the parkade as many times as you like. The hardest part is getting the cab drivers to move so you can pull into the loading zone to go and check in. The Elephant & Castle was excellent with great food and fantastic staff - a great place to go before and after our concert. Blaze restaurant was a bit of a disappointment, we chose to go else where after the first morning. Waited over 50 minutes for a classic breakfast, very slow service and small portions for our $50 breakfast. It is a small restaurant that could be easily served by two people instead constant complaints that they were so busy - maybe 15 tables mostly with only one or two people per table. Hotel was clean, comfortable and we will definitely be back!

We arrived early, room was available which was nice and they allowed us to check in. We inquired for a room close to elevator and they went out of their way to meet our request. Restaurant and food good, prices reasonable.

" Spectacular location; needs more staff"
The hotel is great for a getaway. The province groom ski trails you can ski right from the hotel. The spa pools are fantastic. The problem is that there are really no options for tweens and teens in terms of swimming. You're too old for the kiddie pool and not permitted in the hot tubs etc. You have loud adults drinking alcohol and quiet teens are not permitted. The rule should be that the spa pools are for quiet people regardless of age. Staff are all nice except for one cranky one.

"Nice place to stay on my vacation"
Spend a few days here for my visit to clear lake over my holidays. Place is close to town. I stayed in a small two bedroom suite. Beds where single size but confortable. Would perfered a double but it was the only room left. Outside of rooms the place was well decorated. Great customer service. Was greeted at the door when i walked in. Was helpful with checkin and showing me around. Breakfast was well prepared. Offered a variety of foods. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

    "Fantastic pool for kids"
We took our 7 and 10 year old granddaughters for an overnight at the Elkhorn. They loved the pool and were in the pool before supper, after supper and before checkout in the morning. We had a very good Pizza at the Buffalo Grill for supper. I don't think the horse trail rides were running the day we were there. The Park theatre is wonderful but the movie showing that night was not for children. We did a quick tour around Wasagaming. The girls enjoyed the playground, the Museum, and seeing the shops. We ran out of time for mini golf. The apple "Beavertail" was excellent according to the 10 year old. We had to return to Winnipeg by supper time otherwise there was lots more to see and do.
