Sun Splashed days, Warm Smiles when you stay in our guest house.

NO matter the season, we have the weather for you. Enjoy sun splashed days in near perfect weather on our wrap around deck, or the poolside patio. We are near the beach, and near the San Diego bay, Sea World and The Zoo. The pool house environment welcomes outdoor style living inside a cool pool house. The rental is private and located on the first floor of a home occupied by the owner who lives on the second floor and is on site to help with anything. But be assured you have all the privacy you want and need.

I can't help but remember a comment from one of our guests who felt right at home in our pool house, He loved the easy California lifestyle that this rental affords whether lounging by the pool or enjoying our calming garden.

The Poolside guest house features a New A/C /Heater unit installed June 2024. Accommodations include 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and 1 full bathroom. There is also a comfortable pull down Full Murphy Bed in the living room to accommodate up to four guests. The pool is heated with a solar blanket that provides heating when the sun is out especially from April-October.

Enjoy your stay in this Classic California home with up to 700 square feet of space. The large living room/kitchen features an efficiency kitchen, and dining area. Enjoy the outdoor patio year round with a meal prepared on our bbq grille. And... when you're out and about you will see that we are centrally located to most San Diego attractions like Downtown San Diego, Sea World, the Zoo, or fishing on the Bay, and tanning on our nearby beaches.

We are ideal for small families of 4 or 3 or 2 people or a single person who's looking for a cool getaway. For longer stays you can also rely on a washer and dryer that comes with the rental. Our newly renovated high fence offers great privacy around the entire property. Come stay with us in San Diego's beach community of Point Loma/Ocean Beach.

Great location, great host

We arrived with our family and check in was a breeze. Peter was very attentive, and even have us a bottle of wine. The place was had a warm home feel to it. It was central to everything we planned for the kids - zoo, beach, sea world. The extra bonus was the warm pool that my kids loved. We were there for Independence day and you can see all the different shows from the top floor. My kids loved it, and we had a great time.

Private paradise in San Diego

Our host Pete was amazing! Very friendly and helpful but gave us the peace and privacy we were looking for in a vacation. The property is beautiful and quiet, and only 20-25 minutes away from all of the big attractions (the Zoo, Downtown, Sea World, LaJolla, Coronado, etc). The property is exactly as it looks in the pictures, very clean and bright.

We had a wonderful time exploring San Diego. Pete and Solveig welcomed us upon arrival. Their home had everything you could possibly need to enjoy a comfortable stay. We are so glad we chose it; it is central to everything we wanted to do, the perfect location. We felt very safe and well cared for. The pool was immaculate and a welcome relief after spending hours exploring the sights. I highly recommend this property. You will have no regrets. Thanks for a terrific stay. Clean and charmingly decorated. Lovely garden-like and private walkway to the entrance. Because of the rain and cold the pool was not available but that’s the risk of staying in March. The Jensen grocery store nearby was amazing and we were able to utilize the well stocked kitchenette daily. Residential area that felt safe.

Great stay in a great location!

Met Pete on arrival at check in time. He gave us a run down of the home and the area. If you’re a walker like me and my girlfriend are, there are plenty of spots within a 20-40 minute walk. We went to a great Italian spot, a great sushi spot and the beach. It’s about a 20 minute drive to the zoo. We had zero issues with our stay and would love to book it again if we return to the area. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Diego.

Pete's place is wonderful

What a wonderful host! We enjoyed the very comfortable guesthouse. Beds were super comfy for a good night's rest. It was a great location just minutes to the beach and other areas as we explored San Diego and especially finding local taco eateries and other restaurants close by. 2nd time is even better

My family stayed at Pete’s in 2021 and our experience was so great that we came back again. It was even better the 2nd time. Kids loved the private pool, the location is great and Pete is the perfect host.

We had an absolute excellent experience at this property! The owners went above and beyond to make our stay convenient and were so warm and welcoming. Having the pool all to ourselves was wonderful for our kids and the property location is ideal. We will definitely book again next time we come to the area!

Great Location & Beautiful Property

This was a fantastic location for everything we were looking to do in San Diego. Amazing stay!!

Had an amazing stay! The backyard pool was relaxing. The place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood was also great, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Definitely a must to see the sunset at Sunset Cliffs. Highly recommended!

Nice place & location

The apartment was snug and met our family's (4) needs very well. It was well appointed and the backyard was very relaxing. We spent most of our time exploring the beach and city, and it was nice to return to a quiet place at the end of the day. Our kids loved the beach toys and the Murphy bed!

Wonderful stay

Pete ours host, was wonderful. He was always concerned that we had an excellent stay and pointed out a number of his fav’s in Ocean beach area. We had private access to the pool which was part of the stay at the location, unfortunately we did not get to have much pool time. The location was in reasonable driving distance to Sea world, Downtown excursions, places to shop for souvenirs and mini of the wonderful beach areas.
