"Absolutely amazing stay in Venice!! For a city that can be quite expensive accommodation-wise, this was such an amazing deal! The room was cleaned and bed made daily. Beds and pillow were suppperr comfy with hotel grade linen. Shared bathroom was luxurious and large, with rain forest shower head and gorgeous luxe products, also cleaned daily. Staff were very kind and generous, let us store our bags a whole day extra as our flight was in the evening. And breakfast was included!! Full english with deli meats, sweets, coffee and juice! Decor and interior were beautiful, classical italian/ venetian features with simple traditional antique furniture. Some other reviews we read complained about noise from a bar, but we could not hear anything from our room and slept very well! Reccomending to everyone I can and will be staying here every time we come to Venice! Oh and also a beautil little pug you can meet! Thank you very much for our wonderful stay!! P.S this is not a paid review, we honestly just loved it so much!!"

"Our favourite place out of the entire two weeks we were travelling around Italy! Excellent room and staff service was great, (thank you Massimo), very spacious and everything was new! Felt really safe around the area but the location might add an extra 10 min walk from the main Venice attractions compared to if you were to stay closer to the San Marco area. 10/10 would recommend."

"The elevator is ONLY for Luggage and was broken when we arrived. They did fix it by the second day. This hotel is a 15+ minute walk from the Venice train station (with luggage). The bridge over the main canal from the train station has only steps (no ramps) so you're either carrying your luggage up and down about 100+ steps or just slowly banging the wheels up and down them. Or you can pay a 'porter' an unknow amount of money to transport your luggage (we didn't let them). Most other bridges in Venice have a choice of ramps/steps. It is right by a canal that has the 'Roma' water-bus stop 'B' which is very convenient for getting to other areas of Venice. The included breakfast was second best we had in Italy and included hard boiled eggs and slices of meat, several pastries/croissants/breads, juices, a good coffee/cappuccino/espresso maker. The bathroom was large, the shower was medium, the water hot enough but the water pressure nominal. The bed was comfortable but headboard squeaky if you leaned against it. Our view was a parking garage and some tile rooftops, not any canal view."

"Hotel Santa Chiara very clean and comfortable, with a traditional Venetian decor and vibe, and is located very conveniently to transportation. Access to the train station (Ferrovia Santa Lucia) requires crossing only one canal bridge and a short walk on the opposite bank. There are numerous vaporetto stations serving principal canal routes a few steps from the front door of the hotel, as are a taxi stand and the bus terminal. The staff is courteous and helpful with making restaurant recommendations and reservations, and with arranging transportation to the airport. Our room was spacious and comfortable and had two windows overlooking the grand canal. The bathroom has modern fixtures and a very nice shower. The hotel has an elevator. The breakfast dining room is pleasant, overlooking nearby canal and pedestrian traffic. Hotel Santa Chiara offers dinner reservations at Hotel Plazzo Stern. The Stern patio is a lovely, secluded and quiet setting for dinner by the Grand Canal and the food and table service is very good. We enjoyed it very much."
