"Nice and clean room"
To be honest, I don't have much pleasant experience in this hotel, not because of rooms and facility, actually the room is perfect, we ordered white garden which includes three bed rooms and one kitchen. it's great for a big family spending the long holiday. we ordered hotel in Lido because they can provide the free parking, but please be aware of the check in time, they only can accept the check in time during 2:00PM to 9:00 PM, and not accept the late check in. It's why I missed check-in time and need to find another one in Venice mainland. I can't blame the owner because it's my own fault to meet the terrible traffic, but I think it'd better to remind customer seriously that they can't accept the late check after 9:00PM, so that we can arrange the time more carefully.

"Very comfy rooms but disappointing public spaces"
When we arrived the hotel seemed disappointingly drab and tired looking. However the staff were very welcoming and we found our rooms to be scrupulously clean with very comfortable beds and well-appointed bathrooms. It was quiet and we slept well every night. On the down side, there is nowhere atmospheric to sit and have a quiet drink with friends and family when you get in after a long day walking around Venice. We felt that a few sofas, standard lamps and coffee tables in one of the public spaces downstairs would have transformed the hotel for us. Initially, when we had our bags with us, we thought the hotel seemed too far from the Lido vaporetto water bus stop. However once we had worked out that the island bus stopped right outside the Vaporetto station and the hotel, it was really easy to go back and forth. So ultimately, we would recommend this hotel for its value for money and quality of sleep, but would warn fellow travellers not to expect any extra frills.

"Lovely apartment, friendly staff"
Stayed for a week during October. Apartment was clean and very comfortable. Lido Island great place to stay to escape the Venice crowds. Too cold to use the pool, but facilities are really good for those visiting in the summer months. Staff were excellent, even provided a bottle of bubbly on arrival, which was a lovely touch.

"The hotel has great views out to sea"
I had booked a standard single, but was pleased to have a large double, with a comfortable bed, and plenty of hanging space / drawers. There was also a good desk to work at, a balcony, and two single French doors. both with electric, descending, shuttered metal blinds, inner gauze curtain, and a thicker curtain for night. Using the shuttered blinds allowed the room to be totally darkened, if that is one's preference at night, and also to leave the doors open for ventilation through the slots in the shutters, when fractionally raised, but the room secure from entry via the balcony. One also had an air-conditioning unit, and a programmable safe to lock valuables in (easy to use, and with one's choice of combination, via a key pad that beeped with each digit).

"Pleasant hotel near beach on Venice Lido"
Hotel Sorriso is modern, light and immaculately clean. Our beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern with an excellent shower. The main downside is the commute to and from Venice. When you take the vaporetto from Venice to the Lido you then have to take a bus to the hotel. There is usually one within 10 minutes and it's around a 10 minute ride but the bus can be very, very crowded during busy periods. Allow for an average of an hour's commute to and from Venice. The area around the hotel is very quiet so it's a good location to unwind after the being in a busy city. and if you want to spend a day on the beach it is ideal. Altogether a very good hotel and excellent value for money provided you don't mind a commute to Venice.

"good place to be in Venice "
The only thing that was a disapointment they charged us cover charge of 8 eur each when we eat in the dinning room at night. We had paid for half board so I thought it was a bit much to charge guest a cover charge as well so we ended up paying 80 eurs extra for our 5 day stay.
