This is illigal in Victoria.(We located 3 used/old smoke detectors in the cupboard) Having spent a lot of money on the unit due to inflated pricing in Melbourne for this week-end, we had to stay in the unit, as we were not able to find another place that we could afford. We phoned Saturday regarding the lack of smoke detectors and was advised, that due to the week-end it was highly unlikely that anyone would get back to us.
