Enjoy all the comforts of home during a stay at this adorable Gearhart vacation rental with room for four guests and a great location close to the beach and the golf course. Located right off 3rd Street in Gearhart, there are exciting activities around every corner, including a few fabulous eateries and the well-loved Gearhart Golf Links! Plus, the beach is only three short blocks west for building sand castles, long walks on the sandy shores, surfing, kayaking, and much more. This charming A-frame has a welcoming cabin feel, and is casually furnished and decorated to bring you all the necessities of home. The living area is open and airy, with bright natural light flooding through the front wall of windows. Take a nap on the over-sized sectional couch, watch your favorite show on the TV, which comes with cable and a DVD/VHS player, and snuggle up in the armchair by the fireplace to read a good book. Adjacent to the fireplace is a round dining table for four, great for eating home-cooked meals together after a fantastic day of sight-seeing. After your meal is cleaned up (which is easy with the dishwasher), grab a few board games from the entertainment center to play. WiFi access is provided. The well-equipped kitchen makes budget-friendly meals a snap. Just bring along fresh ingredients and use the included major and small appliances (a microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, and blender) to whip up tasty meals for the whole group. A washer and dryer and small sink are available in the main bedroom for your convenience. Dogs are welcome for a small fee. Grab your tennis rackets and walk the three blocks to the public tennis and basketball courts for some fun exercise. If those aren't quite your thing, the golf course is only half a mile away. Walk down Cottage Avenue to the Pacific Way Bakery and Cafe for a delicious meal on your way to the beach. Shop at local boutiques, or head two miles south to Seaside to walk the Promenade and window shop at the carousel mall. Rain or shine, your group of friends or family will have a blast staying at this quaint Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental. \*Please note that the loft area is currently off-limits to guests. The view to the golf course was a treat and the two block walk to the beach provided sunsets, lovely views and peaceful paths to walk our dog. Going two blocks the other way, we were able to access the fabulous Gearhart Ridge path. The home was cozy and kitchen has wonderful natural light from two large skylights. My only regret was it took 4 hours to warm up the home and some of the extra blankets had holes and were sticky. Glad I brought my own. Overall I would definitely rent this house again. Nov 8, 2024 #### Cute but cold Overall this home was a good place to stay for a few days. It was stocked with lots of towels, extra bedding, and a fully functioning kitchen. The bed was comfy, it had a great deck, it was a quiet and pretty neighborhood, and included a washer and dryer. However, the only heat source is a gas fireplace. At night, the bedroom was pretty cold, so we had to leave the door open so some heat would reach us. No sleeping in, as the sunlight from the kitchen windows shone directly into the bedroom each morning. The bathroom has a wall heater, so that helped it stay warm. It is about 6 blocks from access to the beach that you can drive on. You can go from there to Fort Stevens about 10 miles. My dog loves playing fetch on the beach I could always find a private spot. The kitchen has all the usual stuff needed although apartment size. The bedroom is a little as there is a sink and stacked washer and dryer next to the bed. The TV has lots of different stuff on it a fire stick and another streaming thing. The one problem I had was getting in the door. It has Schlegg deadbolt lock. I stayed in another house with same lock last October. It has a 10 digit code and I never got it to work. I called and as the person was giving me the code for a key lock box I found that is was not locked and the key was there. I used that for the rest of my stay. ##### Glenn N. A warm, dry weekend made it possible to spend a lot of time sitting on the deck with our books, enjoying the lovely surroundings. However, we weren't able to use the BBQ that was on the deck. Not sure if it was out of propane or another problem. Again, no written instructions for use. The house was just the right size for the two of us. Aug 16, 2024 #### Cozy, comfy cottage Quiet neighborhood, view of the golf course, easy walk to the beach and tiny little 'downtown' Gearhart. A warm, dry weekend made it possible to spend a lot of time sitting on the deck with our books, enjoying the lovely surroundings. However, we weren't able to use the BBQ that was on the deck. Not sure if it was out of propane or another problem. Again, no written instructions for use. The house was just the right size for the two of us. Aug 7, 2020 Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy Disliked: Communication #### Quirky, Original A-Frame Cabin Super cute, original A-frame cabin and great location to the beach. However, the cleanliness was very questionable (especially since VRBO/VACASA stresses COVID cleaning). It doesn't appear that management checks up on the cleaners. For example, the washer/dryer was riddle with lots of sand when we opened the lids. Customer service was very pro-active when I called, dispatching a cleaning team to take care of the problem. We had no pets with us, but the bedroom smelled like wet dog. We did a lot of extra cleaning through out our stay, which took away time from our vacation time. I suggest that the property manager should stay at this locale for a couple days to see what needs to be deep cleaned and repaired. ##### Ann S. As advertised. Problem arose when attempted to use TV and found no instructions for the multiple devices. Tried and failed on our own. Phone calls to VACASA were pleasantly received, but no follow-up on our request to have someone tell/show us how to operate the multimedia devices. After repeated calls over several days and promises that we would hear from someone, no one followed up with us. We were there four nights without the use of the TV, which we had counted on. But primarily, very disappointed with the lack of follow through or contact by any local host. We have used VRBO in the past and never run into this problem, but will likely not use this agency again.
