305 Third St/Luxury Restored Cabin in Town! Great Location 1/2 Blk Off Elk Ave!

Originally built in 1883 this one-of-a-kind historic property has been lovingly restored to retain the charm of the past but offers the convenience of today!  Located just 1/2 block off Elk Avenue with all that town has to offer in the way of dining and shopping the location couldn't be better. This historical home welcomes your family with a fenced in yard and fabulous private patio with outdoor dining and gas grill. The yard is beautifully landscaped with mature Aspen and pine trees and perennial wildlflower beds.  There's even a historical out-building that can house your bikes and gear.

Enter through the living room or kick your shoes off in the mudroom on the side.  Whichever way you choose your vacation is off and running.  With 3 bedrooms and 3 baths your family has plenty of room to spread out and relax. The living area has vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace, and oversized smart TV to stay connected to the outside world.  Speaking of connectivity, this home also has high speed internet should you need to work from home or the kids need to take a class online. 

The dining table has room for everyone and the fullyequipped kitchen with gas stove is ready to help you tackle any recipe.  There are two master suites, one is downstairs on the main level and has a queen bed with en-suite bath and the other is upstairs with a king bed and large en-suite bath.  The king suite bath has a steam shower along with separate vanity areas and separate toilets, no waiting! Want to lay in bed and watch a movie, this bedroom has a flat screen mounted above the cabinetry for those mornings where you just want to stay in bed. Off the living area you will find a loft bedroom with 2 twin beds, skylights and vaulted ceilings which has it's own bath with shower just below. There is in floor heat on the tile floors to keep you warm in the winter and great windows throughout the home to take in the Colorado summers. 

This home sits on a double lot and offers the advantage of off street parking for 2 vehicles in a shaded spot. There is easy access to the house or back yard from the parking area.  Just a few blocks to the free shuttle stop, sitting in the middle of the action, and views of Mt. This is a charming original cabin just half a block off Elk in the center of town. We could easily walk to Camp4Coffee, Secret Stash pizza, and the 3 best fine dining restaurants in Crested Butte. None of those listed are more than a block and a half! Also, the ice cream shop is two doors down and ‘The Dogwood’ is next door with craft cocktails and lite bites!The cabin retains it’s charm but the space goes on and on. There are two main bedrooms, one on the first floor and one upstairs. There is also a loft with twin beds. It has a nice kitchen, a large dining table, a comfortable living room and 3 full baths with showers, two on the 1st floor and one on the 2nd. To top it off there is a nice patio out back with lovely gardens and also a private parking space!Highly recommend this for a stay right in the center of town—plus it’s quiet!!

Our group, two couples, found this property to very well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were lots of extra blankets and cozy throws. I loved the reading chairs with light and footstool. The location is very close to downtown which was convenient, it was sometimes a little loud due to the close proximity. Since it was summer and we sometimes had the windows open, this was a minor issue. Also, my only real complaint was that it was pretty warm in the primary bedroom which is located upstairs. There is a window air conditioning unit but it didn’t help much. Our trip was during an unusually hot summer so maybe this isn’t normally an issue. We love visiting Crested Butte for the wonderful wild flower hikes and would stay at this property again.

We loved this house. Beds were comfortable, house was clean, well stocked with everything we needed. The location was so convenient…just a short walk to shops and restaurants. There was some live music one night at a nearby bar that was quite loud until close to midnight. And with the location, there’s definitely some noise you might hear. Didn’t really bother us, but worth noting.

The property was very clean and extremely well stocked in terms of linens, kitchen, table lamps, cozy throws. We were two couples and the layout (long linear) was good for different grouping areas. The location is half a block off of the Main Street that was great for walking, but a bit noisy (house is behind a restaurant patio) although quiet later as the town closes up around 9:00. This could be an issue in the summer months when the windows are open but was fine in the autumn. Also the upstairs master does not have a door at the top of the stairs. The staircase takes a turn so there is visual privacy, but sound would definitely travel from the kitchen and dining room below. Difficult with noisy groups and with children. There are two steps up to the en-suite bath in the first floor master. But all in all a terrific space to relax and drop in and out of downtown CB.

Great location, one block off Elk. Parking for 2 cars on side of house was great. Beautifully decorated. Only thing missing were boxes of Kleenex. One bedroom downstairs with bathroom, other 2 were lofts. One loft had bathroom attached. The other loft the bathroom was downstairs. Worked fine for us, but good to know.

We loved this home as a base for our ski trip and plan to return with our family again. Property management was responsive and helpful. The house was clean, attractive, and had what we needed to be comfortable. There wasn't anything for babies/toddlers but we planned accordingly and brought our own high chair and pack n play. I loved exploring the town with my youngest while the rest of the family went skiing. Crested Butte is such a gem!

We really enjoyed the convenience and ease with which you can get anywhere on Elk. The house was in good shape and the property managers were responsive on the few minor incidents we had A few thinks to note for those thinking about staying here. 1) because the home is so close to Elk the only parking around the property on an average day is the drive way because the rest of the space in front of the house is public parking. During winter (with as much snow as CB gets) pulling into the driveway and opening the car doors is tough because the snow banks on either side of the driveway. One night we parked 1/2 into the driveway to open the doors so our children could get out and the cops knocked on the door around 11pm telling us either pull all the way into the drive or get towed! 2) For those families (or couples splitting the rental) that consider staying at this property there are no doors on the upstairs bedrooms (both are loft style) and the only king size bed is upstairs. The other bedroom downstairs has doors but no locks and it opens into the dining room. So for anyone looking for privacy (wink wink) you won’t find much with this rental. All thst said it was still an enjoyable stay with a location that can’t be beat. Even with the proximity to Elk there wasn’t much noticeable noise to keep us up at night.

Our family of five loved this property. Clean, within mere steps of some of Crested Butte's best food and drink. It is so much larger than the picture taken from the front. Parking is at a premium in town, even during the shoulder season, but not to worry. Plenty of room to park two cars. Beautiful residence.

We loved our stay at this property. It was beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you could need. Some of us skied and appreciated the short walk to the shuttle. Others just enjoyed being in town to walk around and shop. Would definitely stay again.

In downtown Crested. Large driveway next to house. Very pleasant decorating, comfortable furniture and comfortable beds. Nice fenced in yard for my small dog. Would definitely stay here again! Next to several restaurants but noise was never an issue. The property managers were great communicators and available to help out with any questions.
