Casa Franci is situated just a few steps from the main squares and streets of the town, close to all services and shops yet in a secluded and quiet area, to offer you a stay in relaxation and quiet. The apartment keeps the typical architecture of the ancient Cortona houses intact and is characterized by Terracotta floors and ceilings with exposed wooden beams and it is further enriched with charming stone details and wooden and wrought- iron furniture. \===== ACCOMMODATION DESCRIPTION ===== The apartment develops on two floors (90 sqm) and it can accommodate up to a maximum of 4 guests in two double bedrooms and two others in a double sofa bed. One accesses the apartment through a private main front door that leads you to the wide living room on the ground floor where you will find a dining table, chairs, armchairs and sofas. Through a stone staircase you access the first floor where you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table. It is provided with a working fireplace, two armchairs and a SAT TV. From the kitchen you access the two bedrooms: the first one is a double bedroom with a wardrobe; the second one is composed of two single beds that can be joined to create a double bed. Also here you have a wardrobe at your disposal. On the first floor you will also find a bathroom with shower and washing machine. Use of the sofa bed upon request and payment. The bed was very uncomfortable. It was probably a 1960 model spring bed that needs to be replaced. The bed also was leaning down toward your head and the springs or something would jam when you rolled over in bed. There were several cobwebs on the ceiling also. We needed two extra towels and we were told that we would have to pay an extra eight dollars so we just refused it. Also, I have no problem paying for the gas heating but I believe this should’ve been included even if they had charge more money for the rent. We just could not stand 54°in the rooms so we had to turn on the heat. This should be standard for a rental to have heat. We found this to be a very unusual rental policy. Several other things that renters need to know in advance. The shower area and the area with the comode are very tiny. Also, there are several flights of steep stairs between rooms/ floors. Also, the lighting was very dim,part of it was due to very old fluorescent lightbulbs. One of the bright spots for this rental was the young man name, Alan.
