Located just minutes from HSU and downtown Arcata, convenience is never far and adventure opportunities are endless! Under the warm California sunshine, look for seashells on the sandy shoreline, hike amongst the redwoods on Hammond Trail, and say hello to the floral and fauna at Sequoia Park Zoo.

Carefully curated for your comfort and enjoyment, The Equinox House allows you to experience the North Coast in style. Settle down on the oversized sofa in the living room and make some popcorn, utilize the gourmet kitchen to whip up delicious dishes for your loved ones, or use the oversized whiteboard for team brainstorming sessions. When it comes to dining, The Equinox House boasts both indoor and outdoor dining with a formal table, breakfast nook, bar space, and even a picnic table.

With four bedrooms to sprawl out in, rest assured that everyone will appreciate either redwood or ocean views, luxury bedding (1000 count Egyptian cotton) and down alternative comforters, and central air. The bathrooms are just as impressive with their 100% cotton waffle guest robes and slippers. Additional interior perks include things like 10 ponchos (perfect for rainy-day adventures), a wood stove, a separate washer/dryer, and internet access.

Outside, enjoy the whimsy of the natural landscape while firing up the gas grill and sitting on the Adirondack chairs around the firepit. The perfect ending to another day on vacation can be spent in the jetted spa tub, before gathering with everyone on the deck for a glass of wine and cheerful conversation.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Use caution under the property's redwoods.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times as neighbors walk dogs in the neighborhood and the home does not have a fully fenced yard.
There is central heating as well as a fireplace and thermostats. Each bedroom is equipped with ceiling fans for cooling.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
