We stayed in the Bayview room for 3 nights and enjoyed our time there, but it may not be the perfect room for everyone. The balcony offers a view of the Salish Sea and is perfect for watching the sun rise. The bed and room were quite comfortable, and although there is a large armoire for hanging clothes there are no drawers so you will have to keep most things in your suitcases. The bathroom is roomy with a pedestal sink but little surface area for toothbrushes or makeup, and it has a clear glass sliding door so the toilet is visible from the bed. The house has a shared kitchen and dining room with all the cooking and eating utensils you might need, and Marg will cook breakfast for a modest charge. There are 4 other rooms available, each with different amenities and views, and Marg is an excellent hostess with lots of suggestions about touring the area so I would recommend the Lodge if you are looking for a spot on that part of Vancouver Island.
