Good location
My husband and I stayed there in July with my daughter, her husband and twin boys. We loved the location, two playgrounds and waterpark, a oceanside park, grocery store and some restaurants all within walking distance. Just 10 min drive to downtown Victoria or a longer walk along the water to downtown if you were up to that. The indoor space was okay, nothing fancy but the outdoor deck space and views were a great place to relax and have family time when the weather is nice. The pull out sofa bed was unsleepable, it would not be possible for an adult to sleep on it. The other beds were fine.

Student Level Accommodation
Bed linens and towels were clean, but minimal and IKEA quality. Furniture the same, IKEA quality. Pictures are accurate from when furnishings were new, but they are heavily used and are now shabby, and not particularly clean. There were 2 hand soaps dispensers, one bar of soap, and one giant, all-in-one bath soap container. There were no cleaning or sanitizing products at all. Adequate crockery and kitchen equipment, but ZERO pantry supplies, not even salt and pepper. Zero welcome or personal message from the host. Arrival message only.

Dirty and needs updating, not recommended
Start with the Pros: - Great location, walking distance to many restaurants and children parks - Neighbourhood seems safe for evening walks - Walking distance to a couple of off leash parks by the ocean Cons: - #1 - Dirty Floors and vents: under beds (old mask/dust), vents are accumulation of dust, hairs, mold growing. - #2 - Old appliances/furniture - stained and dirty/dusty looking. Fans in the 2 rooms moved air but was also worried about spreading dust everywhere. Coffee machine was burnt. - #3 - outdoor space was dirty and full of branches making it unusable. Furniture was old/rusty and weathered. - #4 - Dusty/surfaces/dirty walls - everything needs a good wipe down. Paint scuffs make entire place feel dirty, even after the wipe down. Many Spider webs and smell of mold in entry way. - #5 - indoor furniture was not great. Sofa was uncomfortable and stained. Had to use sheets to not feel itchy. TV was old. Beds were okay. - #6 - bathtub had duct tape and a poor job of caulking. Shower pressure was good. Bathtub occasionally clogged. - #7 - sheets had hairs and dirty laundry in bin from previous renters prior to entry (owner was responsive in providing 1 set of new sheets). In working with the owner he did offer to send in another cleaner and to sweep up the debris from the deck. I declined given they have “cleaned” it before I arrived. I was worried about their quality and didn’t need another person in there after I spent 2+ hrs cleaning upon arrival. Many items on this list could not addressed/feasible to fix during our stay. I would not recommend this property, given the current state of the property. This has a lot of potential, but needs to be updated/issues addressed.

Lacking basic supplies
The cleanliness of the suite was below average, didn’t appear to be cleaned very well in a few years. Sheets and towels could use an upgrade, and don’t expect the kitchen to have any basic items. And there was one roll of toilet paper left in the place for the whole weekend….. didn’t seem well stocked. If you’re looking for a frat house meets old beach house, that is it

Extremely dirty
Upon arrival we noticed how dirty the floors were. We swept and ended up with large piles of debris such as socks crayons and other weird things. When washing the floor with the provided mop the floor was so dirty we had to wash it multiple times. You said in a previous review that you have professional cleaners. I highly doubt that. There were broken glass outside and inside, cracked tub surrounded. The hot tub is so far away it's not convenient. Location is good, if that's all you are interested.

Great Location, Poor Maintenance
The views and the location of this property were excellent. The layout worked well for us, and there were lots of amenities within an easy walk. However, there were many maintenance issues that made our stay less than perfect. When we arrived we found a note from the previous guests that the toilet had been broken since early in their stay. I emailed the host but never received a reply; we ended up having to make a temporary repair to the toilet ourselves. The grill was almost unusable due to broken burners and decaying grates, and the microwave door was very difficult to open/close correctly. The pull-out couch is so uncomfortable that I think it would impossible to actually use it as a pull-out--fortunately we only had five guests so one of us slept on the couch without using the pull-out. There were lots of other little issues that made the unit feel like it hadn't been cared for. Several multi-bulb light fixtures had only one bulb working. The yard of the ground-level unit was full of garbage and broken toys, which didn't really affect us but contributed to the general feeling that the property was being neglected. Overall the location was great, with easy access to downtown Victoria, and the decks offered fantastic views. With a little care, this place could be stellar!

My family and I enjoyed staying at this property. There are a lot of stairs, but the suite is a good size and the deck is huge. 7 of us (3 adults and 4 children) spent a weekend and had more than enough space. Would stay here again.

Good location and pet friendly!
We enjoyed our stay at this suite. It is conveniently located in Esquimalt. Being pet friendly was a huge plus for us especially having the grass area on the upper level. There is a lovely view up top but unfortunately we stayed in March so wasn't able to enjoy the deck area but would be a lovely spot in the summer to hang out. The suite is neat and quiet at night. The only downside is the trek up the outside stairway to the entry door and then the flight of stairs inside the unit. We were pre warned about the stairs but we had lots of groceries and luggage to pack up to the suite. Overall our experience was good, the owner was friendly and answered my email questions promptly. We would stay here again.
