"Lovely hotel, only thing that was a bit of a put off was the overpowering smell of room spray/air freshener when you walked into the room, we had to open the window to let fresh air in. The room itself was small but clean. Staff where very friendly. Breakfast was nice with a great choice. Lovely bar area and drinks where a reasonable cost for a hotel. Location was fantastic! "

"Breakfast was great. Close to all major attractions. Great location. Room was hot, windows open- lots of noise and mosquitos! April visit. Rooms are small, not in the room much. Clean and great beds. Just what you need after sightseeing! "

"The hotel is extremely beautiful and completely spotless. The breakfast was superb with so much choice. Shuttles were on time and with plenty room. The hotel is let down by some of the staff who are not super friendly and we didn’t always feel welcomed. The aircon in our room was also broken. We ordered two coffees to our room and had to pay 24 euros for the pleasure. The pool is only open in summer months. "

"Every staff member from the front desk to bar to cleaning staff were super friendly, genuine and approachable. The hotel is in a convenient area in proximity to the dropoff location from the airport and in a less densely populated area for some peaceful time yet close to key attraction areas. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Montecarlo! The hotel is in a wonderful, central location close to Piazza San Marco. The staff was helpful, always ready to answer questions or give advice on local restaurants, things to do, etc. We had them arrange a water taxi for us to go to the airport, and it was an exceptionally smooth process. They even helped us transport our luggage to the water taxi. We never had breakfast or afternoon tea at the hotel, so I can't give an opinion on those. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Montecarlo again and recommend it to others. "

"Great location as a home base to visit Venice for a few days. It's an old building with lots of character, wonderful staff, beautiful details, just abit more than a hostel and way more privacy, best location too. Highly recommend to solo or couple travelers as well."
