"Perfect in every way.."
We booked in for a week and immediately on arrival were made to feel extremely welcome by Giorgio, Patricia and Jennifer and of course Oliver the family dog. Everything about our stay was perfect. We would just like to say a massive thank you to Giorgio, Patricia and Jennifer for looking after us and allowing us the freedom to come and go at our leisure. Sending all our love and best wishes from a rainy wet Liverpool..... Mick, Michele, Sonny and Nell xxxx

Hotel Sorriso

Via Cristoforo Colombo 22, Venice - Map

"Pleasant hotel near beach on Venice Lido"
Hotel Sorriso is modern, light and immaculately clean. Our beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern with an excellent shower. The main downside is the commute to and from Venice. When you take the vaporetto from Venice to the Lido you then have to take a bus to the hotel. There is usually one within 10 minutes and it's around a 10 minute ride but the bus can be very, very crowded during busy periods. Allow for an average of an hour's commute to and from Venice. The area around the hotel is very quiet so it's a good location to unwind after the being in a busy city. and if you want to spend a day on the beach it is ideal. Altogether a very good hotel and excellent value for money provided you don't mind a commute to Venice.

Hotel Centauro

Campo Daniele Manin 4297, Venice - Map

" Charming - old world European"
Obviously being in Venice, the hotel is relatively old and historic so issues with sagging and settlement are to be expected ... and they add to the charm. Also the non-soundproofed walls and four floors with no lift - also comes with the territory. The upholstered room walls, antique furniture, and modern bathroom were nice features. Needed a good vacuuming thoughout as thick dust was everywhere. Gondalier tours are very close, we went in the same canal that goes past the hotel. Plenty of shops are close as is St. Mark's Square. Access is from Campo Manin, and can be a bit tricky as you must go through a narrow alley to find the lobby and front door. We walked past it the first time. Overall very good and would stay there again.

"Small and average hotel"
It's a small and average hotel for international standards but very well located near St Marks' square. Staff efficient but not particularly friendly. It should be alright for a couple of nights.
