Brand new hotel, not quite finished. But you get a taste of 5 star luxury for 3 star price for now. I left a very detailed review on google if you need to know more

Beautiful clean property & great location. Has so much potential but still a lot lacking. The very casual looking receptionist gave us a friendly greeting and went through the usual check-in process. Their English is very limited (Google translate was very helpful). When it was time to pay the receptionist showed me the total charge expected on the computer screen but had to manually enter the amount into the pin pad. Please double check their work because what was entered was incorrect and over by a few extra thousand pesos. Thankfully I caught it after the fact and they refunded me right away. Unfortunately I found out later the exchange rate of buying and selling is different so you'd be at a loss. She then led us to our rooms but didn't know exactly where they were and made us lug our luggage around the property. FYI their elevators are not yet in service. The units are well decorated and furnishings are nice. We reserved two, 2 bedroom units. We were expecting 1 king and 1 queen as advertised but was told that they only have the round bed and 2 twins. Between both units there were many inconsistencies. 1 unit was provided with water, the other with more cooking utensils or room instructions. Linens were clean but stained. Towels were not always replenished. Sometimes our rooms were cleaned. Soap was not provided. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. Bikes on property not always available. Parking is free. Pool was amazing! Do not have high expectations.

The room was very nicely designed and spacious. The staff are friendly and cordial, the property is clean and well designed. However, the hotel is located in a very poor barrios so taking walks rather than driving to and from the hotel to get to the shops was highly recommended.

I would start off with my dislikes of this property. No one spoke enough English to assist in concerns I had. It was 5 of us (women) we had to fight for hot water. No more than 2 minutes showers. No face rags were provided. The unit A/C in one of the rooms didn’t work. The sofa bed was not a sofa bed and it was broken. Dogs many stray dogs around the area. One even roams the property. Ok now for my likes. The property/our apartment was very clean, we were greeted with cold water in a cute glass with fruit. It was quiet. In spite of the surroundings areas the hotel is modern and up-to-date. Staff was friendly. Some guy even helped us with our luggage. Overall, I would give this hotel a 7 out of 10.

The Opehlia hotel was a great stay. We would dedinitelt return. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The only cons to this property is that there are no face cloths provided and no iron ironing board so beware and prepare to brind your own. Other than that, our stay was excellent and we look forward to returning soon!
