Great property for large group
We were a group of 8 traveling to the area for a mountain biking weekend. Squamish and the location of the property was a perfect home base to access the trails in Squamish, Whistler (40 minutes) and North Vancouver (1hr). You can access the Alice Lakes trails directly from the house, just down through the adjacent condos. Alice Lakes trails are a must do if you hike, trail run or mountain bike. The large deck had amazing views of the mountains and were a comfortable place to hang out for breakfast or at the end of the day. The propane firepit was a nice addition, though we were unable to get the gas heater to work when it got a little more chilly one evening. It is a large house and our group of 8 were pleased to each have a bed to ourselves. The house was clean and the kitchen was decently stocked for the couple times we cooked. It is a unique property, though has little quirks that you notice if you look closely. :) Kaymar was responsive to communication and was very accommodating for a later checkout. We really appreciated it, since it allowed us extra time to enjoy Squamish. It would be great to have check in/out and WIFI details shared ahead of time or in a house instructions book similar to most other properties. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would have no issues booking again for a return visit!

Great choice for a family stay
Very well equipped house, with 2 full kitchens and a stunning, unobstructed view of the mountains. Large deck provides a great space for watching the sunsets. There are plenty of bedrooms for 8 adults. There are 4 bathrooms, but only 3 showers; the main floor bathroom has the strangest shower arrangement I’ve ever seen. Odd, but it works. No tea towels, and no hair dryer provided. The owner/manager was very helpful and responsive; many thanks to Kamyar for hosting our family gathering.

beautiful home, but…
PROS: Beautiful home and location. Affordable vacation rental and spacious - was very accommodating for our group of 12. House warms up well in winter. Lots of bathrooms. Plenty of seating and beds. Washer and dryer with detergent for use. CONS: Home is due for repair/maintenance (some broken chairs, bathroom door lock, ceiling leak in dining room). Not enough handsoap or toilet paper provided for a group of 12. Especially handsoap - we bought extra Host is quick to respond but a poor communicator which negatively impacted my experience. -Asked through VRBO if we can modify booking to come …he deferred to message on Whatsapp…this came off really sus. He ignored my questions til I kept repeating them. -Gave NO advance check-in info (VRBO advises 3days prior), asked the day before checkin and he said he sends it 2hrs before checkin. I had to ask AGAIN 20min before checkin because he had not, though he sent it right away at that point. Such a hassle. -Said we would only get 10 towels for 12 guests…but we found extra towels in the dryer upon arrival. -Said someone would come remove snow the next morning after 1ft snowfall, did not happen. Prepare to shovel the long driveway yourself with a small flimsy plastic shovel if it snows. Careful to not slip on the inclined driveway P.S. Fireplace, remote controls, and upstairs bedroom TV are DECORATIVE ONLY. They don’t work. Also our group purchased a rice cooker and left it behind for future guests to use :)
