The San Jose House, was built 1879 as Tombstone's 1st boarding house and is one of Tombstone's oldest structures. We are a short distance to main street, the Tombstone Epitaph and The Crystal Palace Saloon. The San Jose House is historically documented, appeared in movies, and also TRUE WEST Magazine. Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Batt Masterson, and many others stayed here including Josephine Marcus. Enjoy Mountain Views and the Sunrise with your morning coffee from our covered porch. I knew it would be an old property but did not expect not cleaned. Refridgerator had previous guests items and was dirty. Bathroom sink dirty with toothpaste spittle dried on. Dirty such that I tried to clean it with a wipe but old caked-on spittle was gross to have to clean. MIcrowave ignored for how long?? Definitely would not recommend. Did not take photos or contact onsite manager because family discouraged my doing so. I booked the stay and was embarrassed by lack of cleanliness. Thank goodness sheets were new and clean!! ##### terri n.
